Slovenian citizens returning from abroad are advised to follow the recommendations of the National Institute of Public Health (NIJZ). Current information on border crossings, measures at the border upon entry into Slovenia and the lists of countries can be found on the special page Border Crossing. * MINISTER FAJON ON CONCRETE MEASURES FOR EU ENLARGEMENT AT THE MEETING OF FOREIGN MINISTERS PARTICIPATING IN THE BERLIN PROCESS 21. 10. 2022 At the invitation of German Federal Minister for Foreign Affairs Annalena Baerbock, Foreign Minister Tanja Fajon took part in the Foreign Ministers’ meeting of the Berlin Process. The focus was on energy security, the green agenda, the Common Regional Market, reconciliation in the region, and a positive perspective for young people in the Western Balkans. * JOINT ACTION CRUCIAL FOR SUCCESSFUL RESPONSE TO THE INCREASE IN MIGRATION FLOWS ALONG THE WESTERN BALKAN ROUTE 20. 10. 2022 State Secretary Dr Branko Lobnikar attended a Berlin Process meeting of interior ministers, hosted by German Federal Minister of the Interior Nancy Faeser in Berlin. * PRIME MINISTER ROBERT GOLOB AND GERMAN CHANCELLOR OLAF SCHOLZ DISCUSSING THE NEED TO SEEK JOINT SOLUTIONS TO ENSURE ENERGY SECURITY 12. 7. 2022 Video Prime Minister Robert Golob met with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz in Berlin. One of the key topics addressed in their talks was the energy crisis related to the war in Ukraine and the resulting need to ensure energy security. TOPICAL RSS * 19. 12. 2022 STATE SECRETARY ŠTUCIN AT CONSULTATIONS IN BERLIN ON STRENGTHENING STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP State Secretary Marko Štucin held talks at the Federal Foreign Office in Berlin with Minister of State for Europe and Climate Dr Anna Lührmann, State Secretary Andreas Michaelis and Director for Europe Sibylle Sorg. The meeting was aimed at identifying ways to strengthen the strategic partnership between Slovenia and Germany, and also provided an opportunity for an exchange of views on topical European and international themes. * 1. 7. 2022 MINISTER FAJON'S FIRST BILATERAL VISIT TO BERLIN During her first bilateral visit to Berlin, Foreign Minister Tanja Fajon met Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany Annalena Baerbock. They discussed activities to strengthen bilateral relations, with a focus on strategic dialogue between their respective countries and signed a joint action plan for 2022–2024. They also talked about the war in Ukraine and cooperation in humanitarian aid projects in the country, EU enlargement to the Western Balkans, the Stockholm Initiative for Nuclear Disarmament and climate change. * 20. 5. 2022 ON WORLD BEE DAY FOCUS ON YOUNG PEOPLE Today marks the fifth World Bee Day, declared by the UN General Assembly on Slovenia’s initiative on 20 December 2017. In this European Year of Youth, World Bee Day is dedicated to the future of beekeeping and the role of young people in raising awareness of its importance.
