 *   344,000 jobs in Q4 2023, according to the BED survey released by BLS. On
   the other hand, nonfarm payrolls data showed that the US labor market added
   663,000 and 577,000 new jobs in Q3 and Q4 2023. This is a jaw dropping
   1,088,000 difference in job count over just two quarters. The labor market is
   weaker than the headlines make it seem.





 * last 4 months to 4.3% in July, the highest since October 2021. If a mild
   recession hits, history says we could see the unemployment rate rise to over
   6% by the end of 2025. The unemployment rate has already crossed above its
   36-month moving average for the first time in 4 years. Every time this has
   occurred in the past, a spike in the jobless rate followed. The US labor
   market is weakening.





 *  construction and home-improvement markets are sharply slowing. This has been
   reflected in new home construction data which plummeted in June toward a 4
   year low. Additionally, single-family housing starts declined for their 4th
   consecutive month in June to a 1 year low. The housing boom is slowing.





 *  pre-pandemic levels. This is despite 30-year fixed mortgage rates recently
   falling nearly 100 basis points since May. Housing markets are entirely a
   supply narrative right now.









 *   to total assets reached 24.5% in Q2 2005 and remained elevated until 2007.
   Cash, cash equivalents, and short-term Treasuries held by Berkshire Hathaway
   spiked by $88 billion to a new all-time high of $277 billion in Q2 2024. Is

   stopped Matthew Crooks after 8 shots fired.  The Feds did not initially stop

   coroner was not aware the FBI quickly released the body of Crooks for
   immediate cremation.

   evidence. This means that if his AR buffer tube was damaged, Crooks’ rifle

DDoS attacks surge since late 2023, telecom still in hot seat

 

 * Distributed denial of service attacks during the first half of 2024 have more
   than doubled since the latter half of 2023, rising 106%, researchers said in
   a report Thursday from Zayo Group. The report is based on more than 62,000
   threat detections among Zayo customers during the first half of the year.
 * DDoS attacks have also gained in intensity year over year, each lasting about
   45 minutes in the first half of this year, according to the report. The
   attacks are costing organizations about $270,000 per attack, or about $6,000
   per minute.
 * The report comes just weeks after Microsoft disclosed a major DDoS attack in
   late July that took down its Azure and 365 platforms for about eight hours.
   Microsoft said it plans to enhance additional validation on its Azure
   network by November and will also improve monitoring.

   Georgia. They contract with Fulton and other counties to print and sort
   ballots. If anything goes “wrong” in November’s election, we now have a
   foolproof way to get to the truth before they delete everything This is one
