For those dog owners who want to keep their pup occupied, a snuffle mat could be the answer. Homemade snuffle mat creator Glenys Titcomb has taken the world of Etsy by storm with her brightly coloured creations that provide plenty of entertainment. Labelled as a 'star seller' on the popular platform, Glenys from Port Talbot, Wales, first tested out the toy on her own dog. She said: “A couple of years ago, I had a very active and busy dog that needed a lot of mental and physical stimulation to keep her happy. “I wondered if making a toy that was sturdy and would withstand her enthusiasm would help, and after experimenting with different materials, I found the solution. “The particular combination of sturdy mat and non pill fleece was the best, and most robust.” The brightly coloured mats are a great mental stimulus for pups and encourages pets to play while sniffing and foraging. Glenys continued: “It also helps with nervous dogs. Once your hungry pal gets the hang of it, their skills will improve, so you can shuffle the kibble further down into the fleece.
