01
Data Availability
Restaking gives way to the hyperscale Data Availability (DA) layer and
ultimately gives you a high Data Availability rate as well as a low cost.
Fortunately, EigenLabs is also developing a DA layer on EigenLayer which is
known as EigenDA.

02
Decentralized Sequencers
On EigenLayer, the individuals involved in restaking ETH can build a single
decentralized sequencer quorum. This ultimately serves several rollups and
contributes a lot to the MEW Management.
03
Light Node Bridges
The restakers on EigenLayer are given the opportunity to verify whether or not
the off-chain bridge inputs are correct. The inputs are only accepted on one
term i.e. only when a strong quorum signs off. If someone challenges the input,
the operators on EigenLayer can be sent to the slow mode.
04
Fast-Mode Bridges
The ETH Restakers on EigenLayer can take part in the ZK Proof Verification
off-chain. They can also certify whether the proofs on-chain are correct or not.
Again, if the proofs are incorrect, the operators can be sent to the slow mode.
05
Oracles
The availability of Oracles protects the price feeds into Ethereum. These
Oracles can be built via EigenLayer in case they ever need majority trust on the
ETH restaked.
06
Opt-In Event-Driven Activation
Ethereum validators who play the role of block proposers and have restaked ETH
can guarantee the addition of Event-Driven Action on EigenLayer. But, they have
a risk of getting slashed.
07
MEV Management
EigenLayer comes inclusive of a wide range of MEV Management methods such as MEW
smoothing, threshold encryption for transactions, PBS, etc.
Read about MEV-Boost++
08
Low-Latency Settlement Chains
On this platform, ETH Restakers can take part in new consensus protocols giving
way to restaked sidechains. The involved protocols have high throughput and low
latency.
09
Single-Slot Finality
Restaked nodes are provided with the responsibility to attest that they will not
build on a chain that doesn't contain any testified block. This creates a
finality pathway making it highly compatible with consensus protocol.

Restakers can contribute their research and ideas on the EigenLayer ecosystem
which helps in building the future of blockchain with everyone's input. Come

EIGENLAYER ETHEREUM- REPURPOSE YOUR LOCKED ETH & IMPROVE CRYPTOECONOMIC SECURITY

If you have some ETH that you have already staked, then you can put them to work
by restaking them on the EigenLayer Decentralized Finance platform. Today,
through this guide, we will be teaching you how your contribution could benefit
you as well as help in overcoming the fundamental challenges of Web3.
Through this platform, you can repurpose your staked ETH and ultimately help the
Ethereum blockchain overcome the security challenges that it has been facing
since the inception of Web3. EigenLayer has come up with a substitute for
off-chain data availability to Layer 2s. This ultimately allows them to save on
the cost that is leveraged on data management without compromising on security
grounds in any manner.

WHAT IS EIGENLAYER?

Keeping it simple, I would say that EigenLayer is a protocol that is built on
the Ethereum blockchain. The reason why this platform is unique and gaining
popularity is because it has introduced "Restaking" which is considered as a new
building stone in the cryptoeconomic security. This approach allows users to
rehypotheticate their ETH on the consensus layer. Users that have eventually
staked their ETH can use the EigenLayer Ethereum Smart Contract to restake those
ETH. This helps in improving the cryptoeconomic security of the applications
present on the Ethereum blockchain.

HOW TO RESTAKE ETH ON EIGENLAYER?

For EigenLayer restaking ETH, you can follow the stepwise guide that is given
below. But before you start, I would suggest you create a wallet either on
Coinbase Wallet, MetaMask, OKX, or WalletConnect. After the creation of the
wallet, make sure you have some ETH on it that you have staked already.

 1. For EigenLayer Ethereum restaking, you need to create an EigenPod
 2. For this, go to https://www.eigenlayer.xyz/
 3. Choose "Restake Now"
 4. This will open the EigenLayer App on your screen
 5. Here, you need to select "Connect Wallet"
 6. Then, choose the preferred wallet option
 7. It could be MetaMask, Coinbase Wallet, WalletConnect or OKX wallet
 8. After this, you should select the "Restake your tokens" option
 9. Thereafter, choose the "Create EigenPod" option
 10. Lastly, you need to set your Withdrawal credentials

INSTRUCTIONS ON EIGENLAYER SWAP ON PANCAKESWAP

Alongside restaking EigenLayer Ethereum, you can also Swap the EigenLayer token
on different supported platforms. One such platform that offers support services
is PancakeSwap. Currently, there is only a single pair available for swapping on
this platform i.e. EIGENLAYER/WBNB. If you want to swap the EigenLayer token
with WBNB, then you can navigate to the official website of PancakeSwap and
choose the "Connect Wallet" option to proceed with the swapping process.
However, before you do so, you need to understand the fact that you understand
the risk of swapping some tokens.

WHERE DOES EIGENLAYER YIELD COME FROM?

EigenLayer Yield comes directly from the ETH staking or restaking via
https://app.eigenlayer.xyz/. by restaking, it generates a Yield via ETH Staking
in Lido which simply means that it takes part in the Ethereum network
Proof-of-Stake (PoS) algorithm. If you are also staking ETH in Lido, you can
generate an annual yield of 3.7% and then you can restake them on the EigenLayer
Ethereum restaking platform to earn more rewards and protocol fees.

IS THERE AN EIGENLAYER EXTENSION?

There's neither an EigenLayer extension nor a mobile-friendly application.
However, the platform works through its official website i.e.
https://app.eigenlayer.xyz/. This website allows you to connect your wallet,
take part in the restaking process, and then generate some rewards. From the
website, you can stake EigenLayer's native token i.e. Beacon Chain Ethereum and
many other Liquid tokens.

THE EIGENLAYER LOG IN PROCESS EXPLAINED

The credentials that you create at the end of the EigenLayer restaking process
are not the EigenLayer log in credentials but the withdrawal credentials. For
logging in, you will only need the login credentials of your connected wallet
and then you can follow the process as listed below:

 1. Go to the EigenLayer homepage to access the EigenLayer Ecosystem
 2. Choose the option to restake assets and then connect your wallet
 3. Select which wallet you wish to connect
 4. Upon making your choice, enter the wallet's login credentials
 5. Follow the prompts to restake assets or withdraw them on EigenLayer

CONCLUDING THOUGHTS:

This document covers all the major aspects of EigenLayer that you should know as
a beginner on this platform. Well, in my personal opinion, I would suggest you
restake your already-held ETH and earn more and more rewards. If you have any
queries regarding this, I suggest you take a look at the documentation that is
available on their official website where you can learn more about EigenLayer
Testnet, how their ecosystem works and so much more.

FAQS-

WHAT IS THE EIGENLAYER MECHANISM?

EigenLayer utilizes the "Restaking" mechanism that helps those traders who have
already staked their ETH to Restake them and contribute to enhancing the
security of Ethereum and other protocols.

WHAT TOKENS ARE SUPPORTED BY EIGENLAYER?

Along with its native token (Beacon Chain Ethereum) staking, stakers can also
stake some liquid tokens such as StakeWise Staked Ether, Origin Staked Ether,
Coinbase Staked Ether, Binance Staked Ether, Swell Staked Ether, Stader Staked
Ether, Rocket Pool Ether, Liquid Staked Ether, Mantle Staked, etc.

WHAT CHAIN IS EIGENLAYER ON?

EigenLayer works as a bridge and has been built on the Ethereum network allowing
users to restake their ETH tokens that are already held. Hence, we can say that
EigenLayer is on the Ethereum blockchain.

IS EIGENLAYER ON MAINNET?

Yes, EigenLayer is there on the Ethereum mainnet and the announcement for its
launch has been made in June 2023. In short, we can say that EigenLayer Ethereum
is a DeFi platform that allows non-EVM decentralized applications to take
control of the mainnet security.

HOW SAFE IS EIGENLAYER?

EigenLayer has paved the pathway for increasing the security of assets that have
already been staked. It also adds a layer of security to the existing protocol
by utilizing the strong security mechanism of the base layer blockchain.

HOW DO I QUALIFY FOR EIGENLAYER AIRDROP?

There are a few things that you need to keep in mind if you wish to prepare for
the EigenLayer Airdrop. For example, you need to set up an ETH-compatible wallet
and connect it to EigenLayer. You can then join the EigenLayer Web page and
testnet, then become a validator, and understand the reward system as well.
