OUR STORY

Lyric and I “officially” met just following her graduation from UNF. had seen
her around before, but never had the courage to speak up and “shoot my shot” so
to speak, Until one night, my friend Roman said “hey, I’m gonna get you to talk
to some girls, let’s go talk to those girls over there, they’re friends of
mine..” So I look over to where he’s pointing, and all I see is just a big group
of blonde haired girls curled up in the corner of Ritz bar… but wait, “who’s
that tall brunette?”

We all start chatting and hanging out, but my attention is set on this tall
brunette. It didn’t take long for me to know I was hooked, but all I was to this
group of girls was “Roman’s Brother”. Eventually, “Roman’s brother” also had a
name of his own, and inquiries began to take place, but we just couldn’t catch
each other out at the same time spanning the next couple weekends. One weekend
Lyric spots Roman inside the same bar and asks “where is Austin?” Roman then
points directly out of the window to the parking lot, only to spot me eating not
one, but two hot dogs at the food truck…. And to me, I think that’s when she
knew we were in for a wild ride to get us to where we are today!

Our relationship began to flourish rather quickly, and after dating for only 5
months, we had to spend the next 6 months long distance after I received orders
to A-school, and again for another 2 months the following year for a deployment.
It’s been almost 5 years now, we have had to face many trials and tribulations
life has thrown our direction. But the one thing that has stayed true is the
love that we have for each other. We have had the pleasure of being there for
one another and watching each other grow, taking turns lifting one another up
through hard times (mostly her). From being kids looking for a good time, to
young adults just trying to figure out our careers and how we want our future to
look, and also realizing that the grass is brown on the other side! So with that
being said, on April 6, 2024, at Chandler Oaks Barn, we would like to welcome
all of you to join us as we embark on our next journey in life, marriage!
