Support people in Nepal: please donate today NEPAL IS A BEAUTIFUL BUT FRAGILE COUNTRY The most disadvantaged communities face a lack of access to healthcare, often walking for days to their nearest health post, or being unable to afford even basic treatment. Our partners also tackle the issues leaving people trapped in extreme poverty, including those vulnerable to the impacts of climate change. Many people are also hindered by a lack of social inclusion, often caused by poverty, gender, disability, or caste. Anne Wafula Strike, a former Paralympian and disability rights advocate, shares Parbati’s story of rehabilitation. Living in a remote Nepali village, Parbati was left paralysed in 2019 after falling from a tree while collecting food for her family’s goats. INF Nepal provided Parbati with her first wheelchair and adapted her home to help restore her independence and dignity. She can now once again play a full part in family and community life. There are exciting plans for a new Community Service Centre in Pokhara, which will develop the ministry and social action of churches and their leaders. This idea has been in formation over many years, but now the churches around Pokhara have bought a fantastic plot of land through their own generous and sacrificial giving. Your support can help build the centre and turn their vision into reality. Please pray for these plans and, if you can, donate to help resource local churches in Nepal.
