ABOUT THE CHALLENGE: EMPOWERING CHANGE THROUGH CODE

Welcome to the Pebble Change the World Hackathon, an exciting opportunity for
high schoolers to leverage their coding skills for a meaningful impact! This
event is not just about writing lines of code; it's about using technology as a
force for positive change in our communities and beyond.

The Purpose:

In a world increasingly shaped by technology, young minds have the power to
address pressing social issues through innovative solutions. This hackathon is
designed to channel the enthusiasm and creativity of high schoolers towards
projects that contribute to the greater good. Whether it's tackling
environmental challenges, promoting inclusivity, or addressing health and
education disparities, participants will have the chance to make a real
difference.

GET STARTED

1. Fill out the registration form

2. For communication, join our discord server where we will post announcements
and updates

3. Wait till the competition opens, then start building your projects!

 

We're still waiting on some sponsorships, so the final prizes are not yet
finalized.

 

 

 


REQUIREMENTS

WHAT TO BUILD

Build a quality software application that solves a social good problem of your
choosing! All projects submitted must be related to some form of software or
technology (we are not accepting any hardware submissions and they will be
automatically disqualified). If you are a beginner, you can create simple UI
mockups and describe your wanted logic. We'll be grading you along with the
other submissions, so please be sure to make your logic as in-depth as possible.

WHAT TO SUBMIT

- Github link to code. Make sure repository is public.

 - Submissions will be done through Devpost.

 - Any additional resources that you might want judges to consider.

 - We require a demo video!

Cross submission is not allowed.

Demo Video Details:

Your demo video should be 3-4 minutes and it should demo what you created as
well as explain the problem it solves.
