At Surgical Associates, P.C., located in Birmingham, Alabama, your surgical care
is in good hands! Our surgeon is certified by the American Board of Surgery and
Fellows of the American College of Surgeons, designated as FACS. He is
credentialed in laparoscopic surgery and experienced in the evaluation and
treatment of various acute and chronic surgical conditions.


WE SPECIALIZE IN GENERAL SURGERY AND SURGICAL ONCOLOGY

For over 40 years, we have been committed to providing quality care as a
full-service general surgery practice. Areas of care that include:

 * Breast abnormalities and breast disease.
 * Minimally invasive breast biopsies and surgery. Breast health is an
   ever-changing and improving area in medicine, and our group strives to stay
   on the forefront of new, proven and effective technology.
 * Minimally invasive surgical procedures, including advanced laparoscopic
   surgery.
 * Abdominal surgery of the gallbladder, liver, appendix, spleen and pancreas.
   Includes hernias, gall stones, and benign and malignant growths.
 * Surgery of the digestive system, including the esophagus, stomach and
   intestines. Includes colorectal surgery, hiatal hernias, hemorrhoids and
   reflux disease.
 * Thyroid surgery.
 * Skin and soft tissue surgical care for moles and skin cancers.

LAPAROSCOPIC SURGERY



Laparoscopic technology uses a small video camera and customized instruments to
perform surgery with minimal tissue injury. Benefits include smaller incisions
and less pain.
