Learn more Animal Spotlight MEET ADDO Meet the newest member of the gorilla troop, Addo, pronounced (ah-doh). His name is as strong and remarkable as he is, coming from the African Ga language of Ghana, where it means “King of the Road.” Born on May 30, 2024, the little guy has already hit many milestones, like sleeping regularly and nursing around the clock. Mom, Pele, has been taking privacy and space when she needs it and keeping Addo close to her. Dad Husani continues to keep the peace and watch over the troop. Zoo guests can see mom and baby inside the Great Apes lobby between 1:30-6 PM.
