STORY

India has the largest ever adolescent and youth population, and according to
UNFPA projections, we will have one of the youngest populations in the world by
2030. 

The future of India’s development depends on this generation.



However, access to high-quality and loving learning spaces remains a barrier
between children and their potential. 3 in 5 Indian households earn less than
INR 50,000 annually, which is marginally less than, if not equal, the cost of an
average private school in India. This means the majority of Indians are relying
on Government schools to ensure their children have a shot at high-quality
learning, which can enable them to escape the cycle of poverty.  

Today, 7 in 10 children in India attend Government schools with this hope.
However, reports show a wide learning gap in Government schools, acting as a
barrier between children and their hopes.

Only 2 in 10 children in Grade 3 can read at their Grade level across States
[ASER 2022]

Children studying in Government schools have the potential to thrive as in any
other school. They thrive through powerful learning experiences led by teachers:

 * who are loving and create a safe and fun learning environment
 * who are skilled and lead high-quality classrooms 
 * who are intuitive and in touch with the evolving needs of children



When loving, skilled, and intuitive teachers lead classrooms, they positively
impact a child’s whole development. They ensure:

 * Increased Learning Outcomes 
 * Growth in Social-Emotional Skills and Dispositions
 * Their retention in school 

And, while teachers are at the forefront of enabling our children, they have
limited support to adapt to the evolving needs of lakhs of children in India. In
the last 9 years, we have learned

excellent our children deserve.

start fundraisers and receive one-time donations. To start a fundraiser: You are
required to sign up on https://give.do/fundraisers and start a fundraising page,
Invite your friends and family to contribute towards your cause Ask them to
spread the word by sharing it on social media platforms (such as Facebook,
Twitter and WhatsApp) to reach your goal amount. To donate: You can click on the
fundraiser you want to support and make a donation to help raise funds. You can
also share the campaign on your social media to let your friends and family know
about the fundraiser and reach the goal faster.

Is my donation on Give Fundraiser secure?



Yes, all online transactions on Give Fundraisers are secure. All of our
platforms and APIs use TLS encryption with HSTS and Forward Secrecy. Our payment
processing partners Razorpay and Stripe have been certified to PCI DSS which is
the most stringent level of certification available in the payments industry.

Will my entire donation reach my selected NGO?



0% platform fees is charged for all fundraisers/crowdfunding campaigns on Give
Fundraisers. However, all online donations are subject to a small payment
processing fee (~3%) to cover third-party and bank charges and ensure your
donations are processed securely by our payment partners.

What payment methods are accepted on Give.do?



To make a donation on Give.do, you can choose any online mode of payment such as
credit card, debit card, internet banking, UPI, wallets, NEFT, Direct bank
Transfers and/or scan QR code.

In what currencies does Give.do accept the donation?



Give.do accepts donation in two currencies- INR and USD. Any other currency is
converted into an equivalent amount in USD during the time of the donation.
