Mixed Berry No-Cook Jam – A delicious no-cook jam made with fresh sweet berries.
Comes together in minutes with no canning skills required!

Making your own jam is a great way to preserve summer’s bounty, but if you don’t
have a stove or time to cook, this Mixed Berry No-Cook Jam is the answer!

It’s quick, simple, delicious, and doesn’t require any special equipment. Plus,
there are endless flavor combinations to try!


HOW TO MAKE NO-COOK JAM

For this jam, you’ll need a few simple ingredients to get started:

 * Strawberries
 * Raspberries
 * Blackberries
 * Lemon zest
 * Lemon juice
 * Sugar
 * Instant pectin




Once you have gathered all your ingredients, you’re ready to whip up this quick
and easy mixed berry no cook jam. Just follow the steps below!








 1. First, combine all your fresh fruit, lemon zest, and lemon juice in a large
    mixing bowl. 
 2. Then, add the sugar and pectin on top of the fruit. 
 3. Using a potato masher, stir and mash the ingredients for 2-minutes. 
 4. Once the consistency is to your liking, transfer your jam to canning or
    mason jars.









Once, all of your jars are filled, cover and refrigerate.


DO I NEED TO STERILIZE THE JARS?

Yes, it’s important to sterilize the jars before adding the jam. This will help
to prevent mold and bacteria from growing.

You can sterilize your jars by boiling them for 10 minutes. Be sure to add the
lids to the boiling water for the last 5 minutes of cooking.










WHAT DOES INSTANT PECTIN DO?

Pectin is a natural substance found in fruits and vegetables that helps to
thicken and set jams and jellies. In the past, making jam or jelly from scratch
usually involved a long process of cooking down the fruit to extract the pectin.
However, these days there’s a much more convenient way to make jam, using
instant Pectin.

Instant Pectin is a powdered pectin that dissolves instantly in hot water. This
means that you can add it directly to your fruit mixture, without having to cook
it down first.



Because it’s pre-measured, there’s no need to worry about adding too much or too
little and it’s a true time-saver when it comes to making homemade jam or jelly.











DO I HAVE TO USE FRESH FRUIT?

You don’t have to cook jam to enjoy the flavor of fresh fruit, but you do need
to use fresh fruit. You can use frozen or canned fruit for no-cook jam, but it
will result in a lower quality product. Thus, I recommend using fresh fruit. 

If you use frozen fruit, thaw it and drain it before using. Canned fruit can
also be used, but be sure to drain and rinse it thoroughly.










HOW LONG DOES NO-COOK JAM LAST?

No-cook jam will last for about 2 weeks in the fridge or up to a year in the
freezer. Make sure to put your jam in an airtight container when storing it for
optimal freshness.

INGREDIENTS

 * 1 pound fresh strawberries, hulled and chopped
 * 12 ounces fresh raspberries
 * 12 ounces fresh blackberries
 * 2 teaspoons lemon zest
 * 1 tablespoon lemon juice
 * 2 cups sugar
 * 3 tablespoons instant pectin


INSTRUCTIONS

 1. Combine fresh fruit, lemon zest, and lemon juice in a large mixing bowl.
 2. Evenly sprinkle sugar and pectin over top.  Stir for two minutes and gently
    smash the fruit with a potato masher.
 3. Transfer jam to canning jars. Cover and refrigerate for up to one week or
    freeze for up to a year.
