At Web Networks, we work with a wide assortment of open-source tools and
resources in order to deliver a modern, quality online presence for you and your
organization.   This works well for clients seeing as how they will never have
to deal with any license renewal fees.

We primarily specialize in custom Drupal module and theme development, but we
can help out with any open source CMS you may be currently running or need work
on.

With security always in mind, we've become experts at upgrading production
sites, ensuring all contributed modules and the Drupal core are secure and
up-to-date.  

Updating and patching all versions of Drupal and migrating your Drupal site from
legacy to latest is what we do.  If you're running an older version of Drupal,
we will get you up-to-date with the latest and greatest that Drupal has to

What We've Been Up To
A quick look at some of the interesting projects we've been working on


 * FEDERATION OF CANADIAN MUNICIPALITIES
   PCP MILESTONE TOOL
   
   FCM approached Web Networks with a major upgrade to their existing PCP Tool,
   which was originally developed in Joomla.  We scrapped Joomla and brought FCM
   to the 21st century with Drupal 8, completing a multi-milestone tool to
   quantify, monitor and manage GHG emissions generated at the local level.
   
   The tool helps municipalities work through the five milestone framework of
   the PCP program to help take action on climate change by: creating a GHG
   inventory and forecast, setting emission reduction targets, developing a
   Local Action Plan, implementing the Local Action Plan, and monitoring and
   evaluation progress.

 * INUKTUT TUSAALANGA
   
   Pirurvik Centre is on a mission to save and preserve the Inuktut language. 
   Web Networks and Pirurvik partnered up almost 20 years ago and have delivered
   numerous Inuktut-driven projects together. Tusaalanga is the go to place to
   learn Inuktut online - and it's free!
   
   Tusaalanga means, ‘Let me hear!’ and features thousands of sound files to
   help you learn Inuktitut quickly and easily.

 * ACSUS
   
   The Association for Canadian Studies in the United States (ACSUS) engaged
   web.net for a complete overhaul of their 90s-style website. Now acsus.org has
   a new, modern look with a responsive design that renders beautifully on
   mobile devices. We also implemented membership management tools & commerce;
   members can buy/ renew subscriptions, as well pay & register for conferences.

 * THE REPRESENTATIVE FOR CHILDREN AND YOUTH
   
   The Representative for Children and Youth work to support young Nunavummiut;
   they represent their voice in matters that affect them and ensure the
   Government of Nunavut protects and advances their rights and interests. Web
   Networks built a fresh, fully responsive Drupal-powered site in
   four languages (English, French, Inuktitut, Inuinnaqtun) to help advocate the
   rights for young people.

 * UNIVERSITY OF ALBERTA, NON-ACADEMIC STAFF ASSOCIATION
   
   The 7,000 strong support staff at the University of Alberta ("NASA") needed a
   public website, private online labour relations case management tools, and a
   complete membership management system. They chose the web.net team to design,
   build and host a Drupal-based system that met all

 * CATCH THE CROWN
   
   Catch the Crown was looking for a flexible, simple and secure online payment
   voting system allowing them to break ties with a commercial platform they
   were no longer satisfied with.  We were able to quickly deploy a simply
   Drupal site with incredibly easy voting system with an integrated easy
   payment.  Catch the crown has since hosted over 15 Peoples Choice
   campaigns, and is running new campaigns every week!

 * UQAUSIIT - THE INUKTUT GRAMMAR DICTIONARY
   
   Planning a trip to Nunavut soon?  Touch up on your Inuktut using uqausiit -
   The Inuktut Grammar Dictionary.
   
   In collaboration with Pirurvik, Web Networks built a Drupal 8 powered CMS
   that documents and shares information on how the Inuktut language is used in
   Nunavut. This site contains a list of words from various Nunavut dialects,
   the morphemes that make up words and explanations of various aspects of
   Inuktut grammar.

 * EQUITY IN THEATRE
   
   Equity in Theatre (EIT) is a multi-stakeholder initiative aiming to remedy
   existing gender inequities in the theatre industry. Web Networks delivered a
   customized Drupal CMS, including a fully custom designed responsive theme.
   EIT is a great place for Actors, Directors, Playwrights and those alike to
   share their passions, projects and to meet and communicate.
