FIRE DANGER AT "HIGH" AS OF THURSDAY, JULY 4

The Fire Danger will remain at “High” at least through the weekend.

 * Allowed only before 10am and after 8pm:
   * Chainsaw use
   * Cutting, Grinding, Welding of Metal
   * Mowing Dry Grass
   * Off-Road Motor Vehicle Use
   * Spark-Emitting Internal Combustion
 * NO debris burning, smoking, fireworks, or exploding targets on forestlands

ESTABLISHED IN 1954

The Spencer Butte Neighborhood Association (SBNA) was formed in 1954 as a way to
keep neighbors connected and informed of things happening in our rural setting.
Our organization has gone through many transformations over the years. In its
present state, the SBNA maintains itself as a social organization along with
community education and awareness, as it strives to keep neighbors connected and
informed about local issues and concerns.




SBNA LOCAL NEIGHBORHOOD GROUPS

SBNA is divided into ten local neighborhood groups to facilitate communication
with our nearby neighbors. Each local group decides on its activities and has a
leader.

Sunday, July 21st, 11:30 & 2:30. Free to SBNA members. Check in at the Visitor

earthquake is detected in Oregon, Washington, or California. The alert could
give you enough time to climb down from a ladder, turn off a chain saw, get
under a table before the shaking arrives reaches you.


OUTDOOR PILE BURNING

There were already several grass fires in the Eugene/Springfield area last
month. Before you burn, think about wildfire and grass fire prevention, even at
this time of year.
