VH - THE FUND & THE ADVISORS

We are an early-stage venture fund partnering with next-generation technology
entrepreneurs building from India. Our philosophy is to embody the vibe of a
start-up, as we continue to look for great founding teams in tech-driven
companies across a wide horizontal sector focus. These sectors include Fintech,
Logistics, B2B commerce, Web3, SaaS, Cybersecurity, Consumer Tech, etc. The
Funds is headquartered in Mauritius and Delaware with teams and advisors based
in the US, Mauritius, and India. The fund has many prominent advisors and
members, including Neeraj Arora, who was previously the Global Business Head at

VH LLP – THE INDIA SUB ADVISOR

VH LLP is an advisory firm which renders investment advisory services to Fund's
offshore advisors. Headed by Samir Sood and Priya Mohan who are working with a
diverse set of investment and finance professionals comprising a highly unique
and diverse team consisting of founders and operators. The VH LLP team has
global investing, entrepreneurship, M&A and IPO advisory, and investment banking
experiences in their backgrounds. The team’s educational qualifications and
pedigree are from top-tier undergrad and MBA colleges which helps them
understand the needs of the market today and to provide investment advice to
startups.

NEERAJ ARORA

Neeraj Arora
Director

Neeraj Arora was previously the Global Business Head at Whatsapp. Before the
journey brought him to WhatsApp in 2011, Neeraj served as the Principal,
Corporate Development at Google and prior to that he was the Chief Manager at
Times Internet Ltd. Neeraj started his career journey at Accellion Inc. as a
Program Manager. Neeraj is a Mechanical Engineering graduate from the Indian
Institute of Technology (“IIT”), Delhi and has a MBA from the Indian School of
Business in Finance and Strategy.


DEEYA AUTAR

Deeya Autar
Director

Deeya Autar, FCCA, is a Vice President at Apex Fund & Corporate Services
(Mauritius) Ltd (AFCS) working as a partner with the responsibility to maintain
client relationship and to mentor & lead a team of professionals handling a
portfolio with a total asset of over $900 million. Her portfolio includes Funds,
Investment Managers, Investment Advisors, Global Business Companies, Authorised
Companies, Trusts, Foundations and domestic companies. She serves on Board of 50
plus Companies, including Closed-End Funds, Collective Investment Schemes,
Investment Managers, Investment Advisors and Investment Holding entities. She
also acts as Money Laundering Reporting Officer and authorised signatory for
various entities and is responsible for training of staffs at AFCS. Deeya is
co-leading the transformation at AFCS, transitioning work to specialized units
and India along with restructuring AFCS to global model. She has been in the
Global Business Sector for nearly fifteen years. Over the years, she developed
in-depth knowledge of the financial services sector coupled with practical know-
how on the operations, administration, accounting & taxation, regulatory and
compliance aspects for global business entities. She also has a strong work
ethic, a positive attitude and good communication & leadership skills. Deeya
holds a BSc (Hons.) Finance with Law from the University of Mauritius and is a
Fellow Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, a Member of
the Mauritius Institute of Professional Accountants (MIPA) and a Member of the
Mauritius Institute of Directors (MIoD). She is also a member of the EED & I
Council (Mauritius) of Apex Group.


TEJ GUJADHUR

Tej Gujadhur
Director

Tej Gujadhur is a UK qualified chartered accountant and he has spent 16 years in
the financial sector in Europe and USA. He co-founded GFin Corporate Services
Ltd. (“GFin”) in early 2011 and prior to merging with the Apex group in 2021,
GFin had a team of 120 qualified professionals and total aggregate assets under
administration in excess of $18 billion. Mr Gujadhur has been the Chief
Financial Officer (“CFO”) of The Children’s Investment Fund and its affiliates,
with assets in excess of $15 billion and he was, until end 2010, the CFO of
Apollo Management’s European distressed and principal finance business.
Additionally, Mr Tej Gujadhur serves on the board of the investment vehicles of
the GP as well as several segregated mandates, portfolio entities and pooled
vehicles of Haymarket Financial (HayFin), a UK FCA Fund management business (AUM
circa $25 bn) focused on the direct lending, credit, shipping and special
opportunities space. He also serves on the audit and risk committee of the firm.
Mr Gujadhur also serves on boards of pooled vehicles of other London based FCA
regulated managers in the areas of listed european equities, commercial real
estate and quantitative trading.


ZAHIIRA ELAHEEBOCUS-CHADY

Zahiira Elaheebocus-Chady

Mrs. Zahiira Elaheebocus-Chady has 11+ years of experience in the global
business sector. Prior to joining Apex Fund & Corporate Services (Mauritius)
Ltd, Mrs. Zahiira Elaheebocus-Chady has worked for one of the leading management
companies in Mauritius. Zahiira has a good knowledge and considerable experience
in the Global Business sector on the corporate secretarial, accounting and
taxation matters. Zahiira is a Fellow Member of the Association of Chartered
Certified Accountants and holds a degree in Finance (Minor: Law) from the
University of Mauritius. She is also a member of the Mauritius Institute of
Professional Accountants.


KRITISH

Kritish
Director

Kritish is a Senior Vice President (functional title) at Apex Fund & Corporate
Services (Mauritius) Ltd (AFCS), with main responsibility to maintain client
relationship and to mentor & lead a team of professionals handling a portfolio
of clients with a total asset of over $10 billion. Kritish joined GFin (now
Apex) in January 2012 and has more than 15 years of experience in the Global
Business sector; Kritish started his career at International Financial Services
Ltd (now Apex / Sanne) in 2007. During his 15 years+ of working experience in
the Global Business sector, Kritish has gained considerable exposure to the
Structuring, Administration and Accounting for different types of investment
vehicles, mainly closed ended funds. Additionally, he has been involved in
managing entities in different jurisdictions (apart from Mauritius), including
Cayman, Delaware and others as part of his portfolio. As part of his role as
client relationship manager, he works closely with clients to develop tailored
solutions and provide a service that is consistent, reliable and client focused,
and has been acting as a main point of contact for key clients and working
alongside colleagues across Apex Group by establishing direction and ensuring
the right organisational capability and culture exists within the client
services team to achieve a broad set of objectives. He is also involved on
various projects (1) including files allocations and the economic allocation of
staffs ensuring the right resources are assigned to the right client portfolio
taking into consideration the revenue generated from such account, the profile /
chargeable rate of the resources assigned and the maturity profile of such
clients (2) transition / integration process of Apex-GFin to move towards the
Global Apex model, including assisting on set up / coaching of the Indian
support team (3) AML-KYC integration project within Apex. Further, Kritish has
been leading on recruitment side at AFCS, interviewing potential candidates and
proposing Offers to onboard such candidates, including Performance management,
development and mentoring of such staffs. Kritish serves as director on Board of
almost 100 companies, including Closed Ended Funds, SPVs, CIS Managers,
Investment Advisers, Investment Dealers amongst others, including Cayman
Investment Holdings entities. He has been acting as Chairman on several Board
meetings / co-leading Board meetings along with other board directors. He acts
as Money Laundering Reporting Officer for certain Funds, and also serves as
authorised signatory on various structures. Kritish holds a BSc (Hons) in
Mathematics and has been awarded with the ACCA Advanced Diploma in Accounting
and Business; he is also an ACCA member and further holds a Master of Business
Administration (MBA); Kritish is a member of Mauritius Institute of Directors
(MIoD). He also has an entrepreneurial mindset, with outstanding organisational,
relationship management and leadership skills, coupled with strong work ethic, a
positive attitude and good communication skills.


ZAYD SOOPUN

Zayd Soopun
Director

Zayd Soopun is a Senior Vice President at Apex Fund & Corporate Services
(Mauritius) Ltd (formerly known as GFin Corporate Services Ltd) (“AFCS/GFin”)
and is based in Mauritius. He has been in the global business sector for more
than 15 years.  He was with IFS (now SANNE), a leading management services
company in Mauritius, prior to joining AFCS/GFin. He has been with AFCS/GFin for
the past 8 years overseeing some of the largest Funds and high-profile clients. 
He is the Head of business development at Apex Mauritius and oversees strategic
projects.  He has developed over the years in-depth knowledge of the financial
services sector coupled with practical know-how on the operations, Taxation,
regulatory and compliance aspects for global business entities. Zayd also serves
as non-executive director on the boards of various Private Equity Funds,
Open-ended Funds and affiliated entities. He holds a BSc (Hons.) Finance with
Law, he is a Fellow Chartered Certified Accountant and a member of the Mauritius
Institute of Professional Accountants as well as a member of the Mauritius
Institute of Directors.

SAMIR SOOD

Samir Sood
All Things Business & Chief Believer

Samir Sood is the founder of Venture Highway . In addition, Samir has helped
grow and diversify India Forge, a family run auto parts manufacturing business.
Prior to this, Samir was the Head of South Asia, Australia - M&A and Investments
for Google Inc., and in that capacity, he has led Google’s investments in
several first time seed stage funds in India: Erasmic Venture Fund (Accel
India), SONG (Soros, Omidyar, Google Fund), Seedfund, and Ventureast TeNet Fund
II. Additionally, Samir was part of the team that coordinated the $750 million
acquisition of AdMob. Earlier Samir was part of the Corporate Business
Development team at Cisco Systems, Inc. where he led wireless acquisitions and
investments, which included the $450 million acquisition of Airspace. Samir
executed the first venture investment in India (India Games) for Cisco Systems,
Inc. among many other acquisitions and investments. Samir has a MBA from the
University of Chicago, Graduate School of Business, a Master of Science in
Mechanical Engineering from Tufts University, and a Bachelor of Science in
Mechanical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute


PRIYA MOHAN

Priya Mohan
Startup Sensei


Priya Mohan has been an entrepreneur for the last six years. In 2012, she
co-founded Vidyartha, an educational technology platform for students in grades
6-12, which she exited successfully to Byju’s - an Indian edtech unicorn. Prior
to her operating role at Vidyartha, Priya spent 9 years working as a sell-side
investment banker and equity research analyst, where she helped high-growth
companies raise private equity, structure and execute complex transactions.
These included private investments, secondary sales, and buyouts. Priya is a
Chartered Accountant and has a Masters of Business Administration from the
Indian School of Business (ISB). She was also invited as a state guest of the
United States for the coveted IVLP program (International Visitors Leadership
Program) along with edupreneurs and educators from 18 countries.

AAKANKSHA SHARMA

Aakanksha Sharma
Early-stage Enthusiast & Enabler


Aakanksha is an Early-stage Enthusiast & Enabler for Venture Highway. She has ~8
years of professional experience across Venture Capital, Investment Banking and
Private Equity. Prior to this, she was a VP at IvyCap Ventures, a VC Fund based
in Mumbai. At IvyCap, she led investments in fin-tech & consumer-tech & held
board positions in 4 companies. She has worked across investment origination &
execution, portfolio monitoring, fundraising and fund structuring. She has spent
2 years in Investment Banking at UBS (Verity), specializing in banking &
insurance sectors, and also had a brief stint with Samara Capital in their
Private Equity Team. Aakanksha has an MBA from Indian Institute of Management,
Lucknow, where she was in top 4% of the batch and was a scholarship holder. She
completed her B.Com (H) from SRCC, Delhi University and is also a Chartered
Financial Analyst (CFA).

AVIRAL BHATNAGAR

Aviral Bhatnagar
A Junior VC


Aviral Bhatnagar is A Junior VC at Venture Highway. Prior to this, Aviral's
experiences included setting up the India fund for Guild Capital, an early-stage
fund headquartered in the US. He led seed investments for the firm in India in
categories such as Edtech, d2c, and content. Aviral also runs A Junior VC as a
passion project, a highly rated platform that enables deep conversations about
the startup and venture ecosystem in India and SEA. Aviral has an MBA from the
Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad, where he was in the top 3% and on the
Director's list, and a Bachelor of Technology in Engineering Physics from the
Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. He was ranked 9th in the admission test
for Indian business schools, amongst 200,000+ applicants.

NIPUN GUPTA

Nipun Gupta
Product Maverick


Nipun has been a 2x entrepreneur and has held senior product roles in tech
startups like Paytm, Policybazaar & Nium. He was the founder of RecruiterGrid, a
user/candidate profiling platform, which he successfully exited to Paytm in
2018. He also started a marketplace for 1:1 professional advice in 2013, to help
first time founders with idea validation, product, GTM, sales & more. He has
worked on products in the fintech, edtech & HRtech space. Nipun is a B.Tech from
IIT Roorkee.

NIDHI DUGGAL

Nidhi Duggal
Portfolio Futurist


Nidhi is a Portfolio Futurist for Venture Highway. She is always excited about
working with the portfolio companies and founders with value-creation, deal
execution, and building scalable processes. She also helps with fundraising and
investor relations. She has 16+ years of experience working with global Private
Equity and Venture Capital Funds like Accel, Atomico, Actis in India and the UK.
She has led Finance, Valuations, Deal Execution, Portfolio Monitoring,
Fundraising and structuring in her previous roles. She has also worked with a
few Indian start-ups as a CFO to help them fundraise and operationalize finance
functions. Nidhi is a Chartered Accountant, Company Secretary and has also
completed an Advanced Valuations course from INSEAD, France. Apart from work,
Nidhi enjoys traveling, solving jigsaw puzzles, spending time with her 2 boys
and making healthy salads.

AJOY PRABAKAR

Ajoy Prabakar
All Things Finance


Ajoy Prabakar is All Things Finance and Operations for Venture Highway. Ajoy
brings over 12 years of experience in his role, having previously worked as V.P
Finance at TVS Capital Funds Pvt Ltd. He has diverse professional experience
across Finance, Operations, and Regulatory Compliance with companies like Ernst
& Young and Citibank. Ajoy is a Chartered Accountant & a B.Com graduate from
Madras University. He has also completed his Post Graduate Diploma Course in
General Management from XLRI Jamshedpur. Apart from work, Ajoy enjoys traveling,
running, playing cricket and spending time with his Daughter.

AKUL JINDAL

Akul Jindal
Millennial Philosopher


Prior to joining Venture Highway, Akul was a fellow at Kalaari Capital where he
closely tracked ConsumerTech with a focus on Gaming and Social Media. At KPMG,
he worked in the One M&A practice, undertaking financial due diligence for
players in HealthCare, D2C and ITeS segments. Akul founded Red Herring Ventures,
a pro-bono startup advisory unit for collegiate founders. He was recognised as
21 Under 21 in Delhi University, by DU Beat for his entrepreneurial initiatives.
Akul is a BBA(FIA) graduate from Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies and
a CFA Level 2 Candidate.

PARTH CHHAPARWAL

Parth is a startup enthusiast at Venture Highway. Prior to joining Venture
Highway, he was working as an Associate Consultant at Bain & Co, where he helped
Fortune 500 companies solve business problems. He worked in the PE/VC space
assisting firms with investment decisions across multiple industries such as
e-commerce, healthcare, IT, & BPM and geographies including India, USA, and
Japan. Parth has a B.Tech in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of
Technology, Kanpur, where he was the Overall Coordinator of the institute’s
Entrepreneurship Cell.

ABISHEK CHOPRA

Abishek Chopra
Startups Strategist


Abishek is a Startups Strategist at Venture Highway. He has ~4 years of
professional experience across Growth Capital Investing and Risk Management.
Prior to joining Venture Highway, he was with TVS Capital Funds, where he was
involved in deals focused on Business Services ranging from Supply Chain to B2B
Commerce to SaaS Companies & he also held board position in Increff. Abishek has
worked across investment origination, execution and portfolio monitoring. Prior
to TVS Capital, he spent 2 years at Barclays in a risk management role for a
trading desk making ~GBP 100 M annual trading profits. Abishek is a Chartered
Accountant, Chartered Financial Analyst (Charter Pending) and also holds a B.
Com from Madras University. When not sunk behind screens, Abishek may be found
playing cricket, chess, badminton and basketball. He also enjoys travelling and
exploring new destinations.

PROF. STEVEN KAPLAN

Professor Steven Kaplan
PE, VC and Entrepreneurship Guru

Professor Steven Kaplan is the Neubauer Family Distinguished Service Professor
of Entrepreneurship and Finance at the University of Chicago Booth School of
Business. He teaches advanced MBA and executive courses in private equity,
wealth management, and entrepreneurial finance. BusinessWeek named him one of
the top 12 business school teachers in the country. Professor Kaplan co-founded
the New Venture Challenge (NVC), which is recognized as one of the top
accelerator programs in the US. He was referred to as "probably the foremost
private equity scholar in the galaxy” by Fortune Magazine. He is a thought
leader and published 50+ papers in Private Equity, Venture Capital, and
Entrepreneurial finance. Professor Kaplan completed his Ph.D. in Business
Economics from Harvard University and Bachelor's in Applied Mathematics and
Economics from Harvard College.


SALMAN ULLAH

Salman Ullah

Salman Ullah is currently the Managing Director at Merus Capital which he
founded in 2007. Merus Capital focuses on early stage software and internet
companies. Before Merus, Salman spent three years heading Google's Corporate
Development team. Prior to Google, he spent over seven years at Microsoft in
several roles including General Manager of Corporate Strategy and Managing
Director of Corporate Development. Before embarking on the corporate development
journey, he was an Engagement Manager at McKinsey in Chicago where he spent four
years working in the technology and consumer goods sectors. He is also a
Post-Doctoral Research Fellow in physics at the University of Virginia and the
University of Chicago. He holds an undergraduate degree in physics from the
University of Oxford, and a Ph.D. in theoretical physics from Stanford
University. Salman’s non-work related 10-year goal: Read one book from each of
the Nobel laureates in literature (17 down, 92+10 to go).


BRETT ROCHKIND

Brett Rochkind

Brett Rochkind is the Managing Partner of Softbank Investment Advisors in
Silicon Valley. Previously, he was the Managing Partner of BRK Capital. Before
BRK, Brett was a Managing Director at General Atlantic (GA), leading its Silicon
Valley office. Brett was at GA for 15 years, investing in Software, Services and
Internet businesses. He helped GA expand its investment operations into Brazil
and Latin America. In 2017, he left GA to build a growth fund with Charles River
Ventures (CRV). Brett has invested in leading technology companies globally
including, Alibaba Group, Altair Engineering, AppDynamics (acquired by Cisco),
Appirio (acquired by Wipro), and Airbnb. Brett is an MBA from Columbia Business
School and did his Bachelors in Finance and Accounting from New York University.


TOM DUTERME

Tom is based in the Bay Area and has donned various hats over the years. He led
multiple strategic & M&A investments as part of the Corporate Development team
at Google & Groupon. He’s also spent 7 years in China as the CTO and Head of
Sales of two ventures in consumer internet & advisory space. He is closely
associated with multiple ventures as an angel, independent advisor and a Board
Member. His educational background is in physics (particularly astrophysics) and
he is also an MIT Sloan alumnus.


QASAR YOUNIS

Qasar Younis

Qasar is currently the founder and CEO of a Silicon Valley based tech unicorn -
Applied Intuition, which is a simulation software for autonomous vehicles. Prior
to founding Applied Intuition, Qasar was a partner and COO at Y-Combinator,
where he funded and advised early-stage tech companies. Before Y-Combinator,
Qasar was a product manager at Google, responsible for leading business-facing
tools. He led a team of 100+ engineers to launch Google Business across 230
regions in 65 languages successfully. Before Google, Qasar founded TalkBin, SMB
focused customer interaction tool acquired by Google and integrated into Google
Maps. Prior to TalkBin, he worked as an engineer with Robert Bosch and General
Motors. He did his undergrad in Mechanical Engineering from Kettering University
(Formerly General Motor Institute of Engineering) and MBA from Harvard Business
School.


SUROJIT CHATTERJEE

Surojit Chatterjee
Chief Product Sultan

Surojit is Chief Product Officer at Coinbase, a cryptocurrency-based financial
services platform that went public in April 2021 at a $100B valuation. Before
joining Coinbase, he was VP of Product Management at Google Shopping and Headed
Product at Flipkart. Prior to Flipkart, Surojit worked with Google for eight
years as the Global Head of Product for Mobile Ads and Adsense for Google. In
his time at Google, he led end-to-end product strategy + delivery and was
responsible for the most significant change in Google’s ad system. He spent his
early days at IBM and Oracle as part of the Software Engineering team. Surojit
holds an MBA from MIT Sloan School of Management, a Masters in Computer Science
from the University of Buffalo, and a bachelor's in Computer Science from the
Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur.

Namita Gupta
Product Maharani

Namita Gupta is the Founder of Airveda, which has designed an affordable and
accurate air quality monitor for India. Prior to founding Airveda, Namita was
the Chief Product Officer at Zomato in India where she led product development.
Before Namita’s return to India, she spent 13 years in the US as Head for Global
Games Partner Engineering at Facebook in Silicon Valley, where she worked on
ads, pages, developer tools and the mobile platform. Post graduating from
college, she became a Senior Program Manager at Microsoft where she worked
extensively on developer platforms and web-search. Namita has a Masters in
Technology in Computer Science and Math from the Indian Institute of Technology,
Delhi and has 17 US patents in the fields of social networks, developer
platforms & search, and several publications


RAHUL GARG

Rahul Garg
Founder, B2B Commerce

Rahul is a first-generation entrepreneur who founded Moglix with a vision of
transforming industrial distribution in India using a tech-first approach. Now
one of Asia’s largest and fastest-growing companies, Moglix has led the digital
transformation of the supply chain for manufacturing and infrastructure sectors
and recently became the first B2B commerce unicorn in the manufacturing
industry. Before starting Moglix, Rahul spent five years at Google Asia, where
he led the launch of the Advertising Exchange and drove sales strategy. An
alumnus of IIT Kanpur and the Indian School of Business (ISB), Hyderabad, Rahul
holds 16 US patents in product management and technology. He is an active mentor
in the start-up and manufacturing community, playing a key role in CII National
E-commerce Committee, the CII Smart Manufacturing Council, the NITI Aayog’s Atal
Innovation Mission, and the Action Covid Team (ACT). He is also an angel
investor, having invested in 8 early-stage start-ups across the globe. Rahul has

VIDIT AATREY

Vidit Aatrey
Founder, Consumer Tech

Vidit Aatrey is the CEO and co-founder of Meesho, India's largest social
commerce company. An IIT-Delhi alumnus, Vidit worked at ITC and InMobi before
founding Meesho in 2015 with co-founder Sanjeev Barnwal. Meesho was founded to

AKASH SAXENA

Akash Saxena

Akash Saxena is SVP and Head of Technology at Disney+Hotstar, India's leading
streaming service. Bringing together movies, TV shows and live sports under one
platform, Hotstar has scaled in people, product and reach and holds a streaming
world record of 25.3 Million concurrent streams set during VIVO IPL 2019. The
platform had an impressive 300 Million MAU and 100 Million DAU during the One
Day International World Cup in 2019. Akash has been instrumental in guiding the
team to build a platform that can run AVOD/ SVOD and live sports at scale and
was responsible for building and leading the team that broke the concurrency
record for a live stream. A keen builder of startups and product companies,
Akash's career of over 20 years has spanned across India and the US. Prior to
Hotstar, he led engineering at Craftsvilla, a niche e-commerce player and
TinyOwl, a food aggregator platform. Akash built the bulk of his career at
OpenTable, where he wore multiple hats and built teams from scratch. He holds a
Masters degree in Computer Science from Arizona State University, Tempe.

Anshumani has spent the last 18 years crafting experiences and products for
users: first as an author of children’s books, then as a game designer on some
of the world’s largest social games (Mafia Wars, Cafe World, etc.), and then as
a product manager across various consumer tech businesses (gaming, messaging,
healthcare, education, and media) in India. Anshumani currently is the App
Product Lead at Google Pay and has been mentoring and investing in early-stage
founders for 8+ years.
