ABOUT ME About the teacher : Hello there, I'm Arup Ratan Roy , grown up in Durgapur Steel City (WB). I have over 20 years of experience in teaching guitar to students. It wasn't just about playing the guitar; it was about passing on the joy and knowledge of music to others . I take offline classes in different parts of Bangalore and online classes for students from different parts of India and students from other countries too. My focus is on exam oriented preparation. I take pride in assisting my students in preparing for exams, providing the necessary guidance and support to help them excel. I prepare students for Trinity College London grade level exams ( Rock & Pop Electric Guitar ) and London College of Music (Acoustic Guitar). ★ CHOOSE YOUR COURSE DEPENDING UPON THE REQUIREMENT. Discover More OUR COURSES CREATING A LIFELONG LEARNING BEST COMMUNITY ONLINE COURSE Foundations of Education refers to a broadly-conceived field of educational study Read More OFFLINE COURSE This is the age when children thirst for knowledge look out for larger than life aspects Read More WHY US? WE ARE A COMMUNITY OF LIFELONG LEARNERS WHERE Children are learners, not just students Children are makers, not just Takers Teachers are Facilitators, not Instructors Children are learners, not just students A student is limited to schooling, but a learner is for life. We empower children to become a Lifelong Learners by nurturing a Learner's mindset. Children are makers, not just Takers The conventional education system pushes children to just take in the information through bland lectures and instructions, which in turn forces a child to develop a taker mindset. When children ask questions and find answers for themselves, they get involved and navigate their own learning process, which helps them develop the mindset of a maker. Teachers are Facilitators, not Instructors At Learners, every teacher aims at engaging with children, not by instructing them, but by facilitating their learning process by providing the necessary environment and resources, monitoring progress, and encouraging learners to become problem solvers. Experience is more important than Information In today's time, when information is available in abundance, it’s important to learn how to use this information, which can only come through practical and hands-on experience. Hence, at Learners, we follow a cyclic process of learning through thinking, doing, understanding, and reflecting, in order to make learning experiential. School is a Community, not a service provider As a part of the social system, a school reflects its needs, both intellectual and social. We are a community of learners where children, parents, and educators are essential members working hand in hand to cultivate both the curious and the compassionate side of young learners. How to Think & How to Learn is more essential than What to Think & What to Learn For this new age, amidst this all-encompassing technologies renaissance, we need an evolved education programme. Conventional education system focus on what to learn, but what our children learn today won't be relevant tomorrow. Hence, at Learners, we help our young learners develop the skills of thinking and learning. Experience is more important than Information School is a Community, not a service provider How to Think & How to Learn is more essential ZION MUSIC CENTER WE ARE A COMMUNITY OF LIFELONG LEARNERS * Scholastic Programme SCHOLASTIC PROGRAMME The scholastic programme is centered around the scholastic subjects offered by the International Boards. In addition to that, a comprehensive Reading Programme is also a part of the Scholastic programme. * Fitness & Sports Programme FITNESS & SPORTS PROGRAMME Now more than ever, with increased screen-time, physical wellbeing of children has taken a back seat. To ensure that our children develop a lifelong love for fitness and sports, we intend to make fitness a lifestyle for our young learners by treating it at par with standard scholastic subjects. The curriculum has been carefully crafted and delivered in a joyful and stress-free manner by highly trained coaches. This is aided by a world class infrastructure including an indoor sports arena, half-olympic sized swimming pool, cricket pitches, interactive splash pad, jungle gym and soccer field. * Visual Arts & Performing Arts Programme VISUAL ARTS & PERFORMING ARTS PROGRAMME Visual Arts and Performing Arts have proven to be one of the most vital domains for children to develop creativity, verbal and physical skills, logical and intuitive thinking, interpersonal skills and spatial, rhythmic, visual and kinesthetic awareness. In lieu of this, at Learners we offer a meticulously designed VA & PA curriculum, which holds space for learners to pursue art forms at length if they're so inclined. LEEP allows our learners to pick from an array of arts like theatre, dance, sound, sculpting, cinematography, photography, graphic designing, and animation. * Holistic Wellbeing Programme HOLISTIC WELLBEING PROGRAMME Our carefully conceptualised Holistic Wellbeing Programme ensures that young minds build not only their physical but also their mental immunity to thrive in life with utmost joy. Resilience-building practices, meditation and yoga are blended with the prestigious SEEL curriculum prescribed by his holiness the Dalai Lama. The programme is vital for children, especially keeping in mind the contemporary and future world, and is central to the LEEP model. It focuses on nurturing compassionate, kind and ethical young learners. * Social Skills Programme SOCIAL SKILLS PROGRAMME Some of the most crucial life skills are the most abstract and intangible ones. Knowing how to work in a team, for example, or have a difficult conversation. Or, for that matter, being able to save money. Through our Social Skills Programme we nurture the indispensable skills and values of Collaboration, Team building, Leadership, Communication, Entrepreneurship, Courage and Conviction, through an activity based approach. * Makers Programme MAKERS PROGRAMME The ability and desire to create and make is innate and universal. However, the process of growing up can often result in adults who believe they don't have a creative bone in their body, nor the ability to make or deal with complex artifacts and knowledge systems. Our Makers Programme is intended to counter this tendency and embed the makers' belief deep within learners. It includes Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Carpentry, Aeromodelling, Astronomy and Robotics, making these alluring fields more accessible than ever before. * Community Programme COMMUNITY PROGRAMME It's often said that, as educators we should aim towards building socially responsible, environmentally conscious global citizens. However, to essentially make this a reality, we need to realise that the above qualities are found in people who feel that the world is one big family, one single community. Our Community Programme aims to help children develop an understanding and ownership towards the world community as a whole by engaging them in practical community building activities to address both local as well as global issues.
