WHAT IS THE BRAIN TUMOUR WALK?

 

The Brain Tumour Walk is an opportunity to unite across Canada, commemorating
and honouring our loved ones affected by brain tumours. We walk with a united
goal—to end brain tumours.

By participating and fundraising, you ensure essential funding for
groundbreaking research, vital support initiatives, informative resources,
advocacy efforts, increased awareness, and HOPE.

You choose when, where, and how you'd like to take your steps, and stand in
unity with Canadians nationwide who are making an impact!

DID YOU KNOW?

 

Every day, 27 Canadians hear the life-altering words, “You have a brain tumour.”

Brain tumours are incredibly unpredictable and intricate, capable of striking
anyone at any time. They have the potential to impact crucial functions such as
vision, hearing, memory, balance, and mobility. Their consequences extend to
physical, emotional, and financial aspects of life, and they endure throughout a
lifetime.



Currently, there is no cure. Together, we can change that.

HOW IT WORKS



1. GET STARTED



Register! There are no registration fees or fundraising minimums.After
registering, show others they're not alone by adding your story, photo, or
activities on our interactive map!Use Strava and join the Brain Tumour Walk Club
to track your kilometres and see your progress directly on your Fundraising
Centre.Register before June 1, 2024 to receive your registration incentive!




2. GET FUNDRAISING



Personalize your fundraising page! Share it with your family, friends, and
colleagues. Advocacy, research, support, and hope are only possible through
fundraising and donations.Explore our fundraising incentives and deadlines!




3. GET MOVING



June is Brain Tumour Walk month! You choose when, where, and how you'd like to
take your steps, and stand in unity with Canadians nationwide who are making an
impact! Whether strolling with your family in a park, hosting a backyard
barbecue, or participating in a marathon, every step you take makes a
difference!Check out our online day-of map to add your special message, to find
information, partners and resources!
