TREASURER

The County Auditor, as the clerk of the Kingsbury County Commission, is required
to keep records of commission proceedings.  The Auditor's fiscal duties include
conducting a monthly verification of all bank balances and cash items in the
County Treasurer's Office and making a report of the same to the Commission
publishing an annual report of the receipts and disbursements as well as the
assets and liabilities of the County.

TREASURER

The Kingsbury County Treasurer is responsible for all of the money belonging to
the county.  The Treasurer collects real estate and mobile home taxes, provides
information regarding real estate taxes, manages county investments, handles
vehicle licensing and transfer of vehicle titles.

The Kingsbury County Register of Deeds office is where a record of real estate
deeds or other land titles that is maintained by a local government official in
the Kingsbury County Courthouse.

The Sheriff shall keep and preserve the peace within the County.  He must pursue
and apprehend all felons, and execute all writs, warrants, and other process
from any court or magistrate.

DIRECTOR OF EQUALIZATION

 Emergency Management Director prepares plans and procedures for responding to
natural disasters and other emergencies within Kingsbury County. She also helps
lead the response during and after emergencies, often in coordination with
public safety officials, elected officials, nonprofit organizations, and
government services.

DIRECTOR OF EQUALIZATION

 The function of the Equalization Office is to annually value all real property
in Kingsbury County at its full and true market value, except for agricultural
land, which is valued on its productivity value.  This value is then used for
taxation purposes but the equalization office is concerned with fair and equal
market value, not taxes.  This is part of the government services offered by the
Director of Equalization.

HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT

  Kingsbury County Highway Department is responsible for the repairs and
maintenance of 112 miles of asphalt roads, 86 miles of blotter roads, and 152
miles of gravel roads, for a total of 350 miles.  The highway superintendent
appointed by the Board of Commissioners administers this service under their
direction.  Kingsbury County Highway Department employs 12 individuals to
provide this valuable service.
