Josh is a financial services, banking, and business attorney who counsels
financial institutions, marketplace lenders, fintech entities, and other
companies on both regulatory and transactional matters. He has significant
experience with federal and state lending and payments laws, including those
that apply to credit cards, installment loans, lines of credit, and
point-of-sale finance.

Josh regularly counsels clients on state and federal laws applicable to the
development of consumer and business lending digital financial service products,
electronic payments, payment network rules, electronic contracting, mobile
commerce, online banking, retail installment sales, and consumer protection
laws, such as the Truth in Lending Act (TILA), Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA),
Equal Credit Opportunity Act (ECOA), Electronic Funds Transfer Act (EFTA),
Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act (E-SIGN), Telephone
Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), and statutes prohibiting unfair, deceptive, and
abusive acts and practices.

Earlier in his career, Josh served as in-house counsel at Goldman Sachs, where
he advised on an array of regulatory, legal, and compliance issues. He also
worked at the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis for several years, where he
examined banks for compliance with banking laws and regulations. Additionally,
Josh worked as a consultant at KPMG, assisting the nation’s largest banks and
nonbank financial services companies with regulatory and customer strategy
issues.
