DIY OUTDOOR FURNITURE COVERS

Outdoor furniture is expensive and needs to be protected to help prolong its
life, but those furniture covers can be so pricey! I decided I was going to make
my own covers, and actually first did this DIY with an old plastic tarp - after
realizing how easy and effective it was, I redid the project using the canopy
that came with our pergola. Really any outdoor, waterproof fabric would work for
this!
What you’ll need:
Outdoor waterproof fabric (canvas, a tarp, etc.)
Velcro strips
Scissors
Step 1: Cut to size
First I determined the length of my couches and cut that. Then I laid all of
these cushions down, wrapped the canvas over them, and added about a foot and a
half. This was to ensure I’d have enough to wrap completely around.

Step 2: Attach
Next I used Velcro strips to attach the tarp to the seat of each chair. Make
sure the chairs are clean so the Velcro sticks!
Step 3: Add cushions back
Add on all of the cushions, and wrap the fabric around everything, then tuck
under the cushions to seal it off.

When you’re ready to use your furniture, just pull the tarp back and hide it
behind the back rest of the cushions. Rain water just pours off of these! It was
such an easy, cheap way to protect my outdoor furniture!

Thank you much for sharing this guide. Garden furniture is really expensive,
especially if you wanna get it smth with good-looking pillows. Of course,
there are too many pets outside, and it's not very good for pillows and
furniture in general. So, your cheap option is gonna be very helpful for us.
We got our furniture at https://www.gardenfurniture.co.uk and they have
amazing pillows on the most models, but probably my cats and their neighbor
friends (also cats) gonna hurt it badly, haha..but at least, we can "steal"
your idea of making alternative pillows.
