Congratulations, you have been invited to take a video interview! What next?

This handy guide will give you all the tips, tools and information you need to
rock the interview and get one step closer to your dream job.

What is a video interview?

A Wepow video interview is a set of questions that the company’s recruitment
team has previously recorded to get to know you better. The best thing about a
video interview is that you can take it at your convenience from the comfort of
your own home. They are a fantastic way for the recruiter to get to know you
better and bring your resume to life.

What do you need?

If you are using a computer to take the interview:

 * Camera, built-in or USB.
 * Microphone (if you have a built-in camera, you will also have a built-in
   microphone).
 * Good Internet connection.
 * Supported browser.*
   
   *Wepow supports the following browsers:
   
   Google Chrome Mozilla Firefox Edge

If you are using a mobile device to take the interview:

 * Wepow Candidate App (iOS or Android) downloaded to your mobile device.
 * Reliable Internet connection, Wi-Fi is preferable.
 * Front-facing camera and microphone.

When should you complete your interview?

At the top of your email invitation, there is a blue rectangle containing the
deadline for your interview. The deadline tells you the day and time that your
interview will close.



We recommend taking the interview as soon as possible to show your potential
employer how interested you are.

What will the interview consist of?

The interview is divided into 6 sections:


 * Welcome
   
   
   The Welcome screen is the first section you will see. If the recruiter has
   uploaded a Promo Video to introduce and present the brand or company, this
   will be shown here. When you are ready, review and accept the Terms of
   Service and Privacy Policy and continue to the Overview section.

 * Overview
   
   
   This section displays the steps that make up your personalized interview.
   These may include: a short multiple-choice form to complete, a number of
   video or written response questions, and a request to upload some documents.
   This section will also tell you the estimated duration for your interview and
   some additional information about each step of the interview.

 * Setup
   
   
   This section allows you to make sure your camera and microphone are working
   correctly for the interview. Record a short test video to check. There is
   also a System Test to check your connection to the Wepow server.

 * Practice
   
   
   After the setup, you now have the opportunity to try two practice questions
   to get used to the process and ‘warm-up’ for the interview. No one will see
   these practice questions apart from you.

 * Interview
   
   
   Now it’s time for the real deal! Depending on what the company has chosen to
   include in the interview, you will be guided through the various stages of
   the interview. The recruiter may include a multiple-choice questionnaire at
   the beginning of the interview. Then, the interview questions, which will
   require either a video or written response. You will see exactly how long you
   have to prepare and answer each question.

 * Wrap-Up
   
   
   This is the final stage and the recruiter may ask you to upload some
   additional documentation, such as your resume or portfolio. All done! Your
   interview will now be sent to the recruiter for assessment.

FAQ

 1. Can I pause the interview?
    
    
    You cannot manually pause the interview, however, the system will pause
    between each question until you click Continue. You can repeat the question
    once before answering it.

 2. Can I re-record my answers?
    
    
    No, you can not re-record any of your answers. Remember that the recruiter
    is looking for natural and authentic responses, rather than perfect ones.
    Your first attempt is usually the best!

 3. Can I opt-out of the interview process?
    
    
    Yes, there is an opt-out link both in your email invitation and the
    interview platform if you decide you do not wish to take the interview.

 4. Who will watch and evaluate my videos?
    
    
    Your videos can only be accessed and viewed by the recruitment team at the
    company you are applying to. Any information shared is completely
    confidential.

 5. Where do I go for extra help?
    
    
    You can reach us by clicking on the Help button at the side of your screen
    or by emailing us at support@wepow.com.
