ATTORNEY GENERAL JOSH STEIN: WE’VE ENDED THE RAPE KIT BACKLOG IN NORTH CAROLINA

Attorney General Josh Stein announced that North Carolina has ended the backlog
of untested older sexual assault kits.

ATTORNEY GENERAL JOSH STEIN SUES TIKTOK FOR HARMING CHILDREN

Attorney General Josh Stein and a bipartisan group of 12 attorneys general sued
TikTok and its parent company ByteDance Ltd. for harming the children and
teenagers in their states. The Attorneys General allege that TikTok designed its
app to be addictive while misrepresenting the mental, emotional, and physical
risks the app posed to young users. Attorney General Stein has played a leading
role in the investigation into TikTok and this lawsuit.

FOR NC

Attorney General Josh Stein announced the launch of DOJ Delivers, an online tool
and resource that allows all North Carolinians to see the work of the North
Carolina Department of Justice (NCDOJ) in their communities. North Carolinians
invest their tax dollars in the Department of Justice; this tool is a way to
illustrate the return on that investment.
