SUBSIDENCE

2009

Welcomed into the Highways Agency AREA 4 MAC Framework for Ground Investigation,
we explored movements, landslips and solutions features on major motorways and A
roads for Balfour Beatty and Mott Macdonald.

2010

We opened the Brunel Road office and warehouse. We expanded our soil lab, we
invested in more plant and equipment and we expanded in the rail sector.

2011

The year we launched our Menard pressuremeter testing. 2011 also saw us using
modular cable percussive rigs and multi-functional dynamic sampling and rotary
coring rigs.

2012

Amazing, prestigious and complex projects. The Victoria and Albert
Investigation, Canary and Wood Wharf over water, and the award-winning Shell
Centre Ground Investigation.

2013

The Baker St to Bond Street GI Project for Transport For London explored
movements affecting the Jubilee Line. Our drilling, sampling and coring with
groundwater pressure monitoring, geotechnical and mineralogical testing allowed
the client to make predictions. It also secured us the ICE Contribution To
London Award.

2014

Permanent staffers reached sixty in number. We presented for Eurocodes in Pisa
to the European Geotechnical Community. We carried out GI projects at Wood Lane
BBC TV Centre and for offshore wind farms at Dunkirk. The year was capped with a
Ground Engineering Award for Site Investigation Specialist Of The Year.

2015

Launching our bespoke Groundworks division and Structural Pathology Services
division, we pioneered unique methods to reuse existing foundations for
sustainable redevelopments and brownfield sites. We bought a Pagani unit for
in-house Static Cone Penetration testing and we completed site works in Albania.

2016

Central Government, Wessex Water and local authorities helped us to grow. We
expanded our foundation and pile investigation services with novel drilling and
coring techniques. We also took on our first airport projects.

2017

Our Midlands Office dream became a reality. Long term monitoring programmes also
became new divisions. Admiralty Arch, Claridge’s Hotel and a wind farm
investigation near Aberdeen formed our flagship projects. We took over Derwent
Yard in West London to create a bespoke sample storage facility and we achieved
RISQS Accreditation.

2018

Framework awards landed for HS2 high-speed rail, Parliamentary Estates and
BSkyB. Denmark called us to various sites. And our Midlands geotech lab achieved
UKAS accreditation helping us to grow in the region.

2019

Relationships blossomed beyond London and into the Midlands and the North of
England. We achieved UVDB Accreditation and we were happy that our permanent
team grew past the 100 mark.

2020

Adapting to the Covid-19 pandemic, we assessed essential works for HS2 and
Parliamentary Estates to keep working safely with as little disruption as
possible. Our business continued to thrive and we kept clients happy.

2021

Our e-Site app digitised and data-collected for our operations in the field.
Drillers, engineers, monitoring, testing, payments, health and quality systems
all became electronic. We were welcomed in frameworks with Bristol and Salford
Council Highways and Amazon UK.

2022

Our 25-year anniversary! An exciting and landmark year with the award and
renewal of some of the most prestigious projects and industry frameworks. These
included The Houses of Parliament Restoration & Renewal, Transport for London
and Severn Trent Water.

OUR STORY

Since 1997, We’ve expanded and evolved to provide accurate, high quality site
investigation services in the most cost effective and efficient manner. Check
out our story.

1997

Concept was born. We began consulting for civil, structural and geotechnical
projects and surveying buildings across the great city of London.

1998

Our first home was a serviced office space for two in Boston Manor. It came with
complimentary admin staff and a CAD technician that we managed to keep very
busy.

1999

Lots of our early work was subsidence investigation for insurers, which was
carried out by our Executives, Anastasia and Milan.

2000

With regular work in subsidence claims, our turnover got healthier and
healthier.

2001

We bought an office at Northfields Avenue and supplied site investigation to
construction. We also won a framework agreement which led to a £100k order at
the Salvation Army HQ.

2002

A good year. Our first soils testing lab, closer links to academia, expert
witness testing for structural and geotechnical engineering and a dedicated
division for ground investigation.

2003

Another milestone year of growth. We welcomed a team of new geotechnical
engineers, drilling staff, field operatives, lab technicians and report staff.

2004

Twickenham, the LTA and the National History Museum Darwin Centre capped a year
of prestigious projects. Witness testing took us to Belgrade, Nigeria and the
Port of Southampton.

2005

We acquired a bigger office at Warple Mews. Our soil testing capabilities grew
and the lab was accredited by UKAS. We also achieved ISO 14001 and 9001 for our
commitment to quality and the environment.

2006

More opportunities, awards, growth and permanently employed staff. Onwards and
upwards.

2007

Our big ten year anniversary was marked by a ground investigation project at the
Tate Modern.

2008

A £1million project for Lots Road Power Station. It included on shore, off
shore, geotechnical and environmental as well as structure and fabric
investigations to inform the redevelopment.
