It's so good, it's hard to stop eating! The cottage cheese is the trick to getting such a creamy texture and using rotisserie chicken keeps this recipe quick. Feel free to add peas or steamed broccoli. Serve with a simple salad or noodles. I used whipped cottage cheese, that I didn't even know was a thing. Read More Helpful (34) Most helpful critical review Lori Herbon Putnam 08/28/2022 Made it exactly as written. Gooey chicken casseroles are wonderful, but this one was far too rich. We served it over noodles, but still too rich. So, back to the other gooey chicken casseroles we have on file. :) Read More Helpful (15) Sort By: Newest * Most Helpful * Most Positive * Least Positive * Newest Dana Hickman 11/07/2023 Excellent comfort food recipe! Not for the calorie or fat conscious! I made a half recipe with chicken breasts, left out the cream cheese & scallions and replaced Creole seasoning with cajun - was delicious and filling served over pasta. - Nov 2023 Read More Helpful (0) Allrecipes Member 10/30/2023 'Cooks' surely know how to make a recipe low fat, not-so-rich, or to suit their tastes and desires. So, if you can't read the recipe and adapt it to your liking, just move on and keep the negative to yourselves, please, and let the rest of us enjoy. Read More Helpful (1) LindaKB 10/27/2023 Very easy and tasty. It was a hit in my family. I also packaged it up and brought it up to my son at university since it freezes well. Read More Helpful (1) patbuc66 10/04/2023 Everyone liked and my mother-in-law loved. Easy to make and loved that I could use a rotisserie chicken. This is a bit bland for me and hubby, so we added smoked tabasco to the done version and it was yummy. Maybe increase creole seasoning? My family said to mix with rice or pasta would be good and I thought adding some veggies to the bake would also be good. I will do slight changes next time since my MIL loved it so much and will update then. Thank you for sharing your easy recipe. Read More Helpful (0) David 09/28/2023 I agree with Lori, it's ok but too rich for our taste. Read More Helpful (2) Allrecipes Member 09/25/2023 Not very good and highly processed. A shaame. Read More Helpful (6) robgraphics 09/24/2023 Great recipe! The Ritz Crackers add a lot to the flavor. I did try it this time with no and low fat. Non fat cream cheese, non fat cottage cheese, non fat sour cream, and low fat mozzarella. No substitute for the Ritz Crackers and used just 3 TBSP of butter. Cooked 16 oz. Ziti for 10 minutes and put it on the bottom of the pan. Added 3/4 cup non fat half and half to the chicken mixture to allow for the pasta, otherwise this would be dry. This tasted incredible, and I detest non fat anything. I know these are a lot of changes, but I hoped a non fat/low fat version would be helpful to others that want to save on the calories without sacrificing flavor.
