🏃TAMARACK OTTAWA RACE WEEKEND🏃‍♀️

Saturday, May 25 and Sunday, May 26 is the biggest multi-day race event in
Canada, and this year is the 50th anniversary!

Sunday, May 26: O-Train Line 1 Service will begin early, at 5:00 am, and run
every 15 minutes until 8:00 am.

On Friday, May 24 and Saturday, May 25, OC Owl will be at the Health and Fitness
Expo. Come by and say hi!

If you will be one of 35,000 runners participating, you can ride OC Transpo
buses and trains for free when picking up your race kit at the expo.

PHASE 2 OF WALKLEY STATION’S STAIR REPAIRS TO BEGIN

Starting May 27, the northwest stair tower and the southeast stair tower will be
closed for construction. The elevator to/from Stop 3A in the northwest tower
will also be closed.

Customers who require the elevator to navigate between platforms will need to
adjust their travel in order to exit in the right direction. In some cases, this
will mean travelling to a different station to use the elevator and doubling
back to arrive on the other side of the platform.

NEW WAYS TO BUS ARE COMING TO OTTAWA!

OC Transpo's new bus network will focus on frequency, local service in your
neighbourhood, and connections to O-Train Lines 1 and 2 and key destinations.

OC Transpo’s new bus network will focus on frequency, local service in your
neighbourhood, and connections to O-Train Lines 1 and 2 and key destinations.

New Ways to Bus is about responding to changes in customers’ travel needs and
ridership levels. It will significantly change OC Transpo’s bus network and is a
big step towards meeting our service reliability target of 99.5 per cent.

VICTORIA DAY SERVICE

Monday, May 20

OC Transpo buses and O-Train Line 1 will run on a Sunday schedule. Para Transpo:
All regular bookings will be cancelled automatically. Customers may begin
booking trips as of Monday, May 13. The OC Transpo Customer Service Centre in
the Rideau Centre will be open: 10:00 am – 6:00 pm.

There are several free activities and festivals happening on the Victoria Day
long weekend and transit is the best way to get to them! Check out some of
what's happening.

NEW REAL-TIME DATA TEST FEED AVAILABLE NOW

GTFS, or General Transit Feed Specification is an industry standard, open data
format for transit agencies to share data about transit service. GTFS Realtime
is an extension to GTFS that provides real-time transit information including
vehicle position and trip updates for application developers. 

After we complete testing of the GTFS Realtime feed, we’ll incorporate it across
all our OC Transpo travel planning tools.

INTERAC® DEBIT IS COMING SOON TO O‑PAYMENT

O-Payment is expanding. Soon you will be able to tap your Interac® Debit card on
all OC Transpo buses and at all fare gates!

Testing has begun and during this time, you will see the Interac Debit logo on
the fare reader screen. For now, continue to use your existing payment methods
to pay for your fare. Check back for updates on when Interac Debit is
available!
