FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Where does my money go? How will my gift be used?



Your donation will go directly toward the gift category you select. If the
amount raised exceeds our needs for any specific gift category, surplus funds
will be directed to IJM’s most urgent needs.

We are grateful for your generosity and promise to honor your donation in the
most effective way possible. The gifts in this catalog represent IJM’s projects
at the time of writing, and the costs are based on average expenses across the
organization.

Can I have cards mailed directly to someone else on my behalf?



Mailed cards are delivered directly to the shipping address you provide. They
are blank inside for personalization and include a mailing envelope you can use.
Mailed cards are only available during the Christmas season.

What is the difference between the free card options and what will my gift
recipient receive?



There are three options for you to share your gift: An e-card that you can
personalize and send immediately or on a date or your choice, a downloadable
card to print and personalize at home, or a mailed card (with an envelope) that
we’ll ship to you, to personalize and share. Shipping of the mailed cards is
free!

Does IJM ship cards outside the continental United States?



Shipping is only available to addresses within the continental United States.
For international orders, please select an e-card, or use the downloadable
print-at-home card by clicking on the link included on your emailed receipt.

How quickly will my card(s) be sent? Do you offer expedited shipping?



You should receive your cards within 10 - 14 business days of your order.
Expedited shipping is not available at this time.

I accidentally ordered an e-card when I really wanted to order a mail card. What
do I do?



Please call 844.422.5878 to speak with a representative and we will be happy to
change your order. Note that this change in your gift order might slightly delay
the shipment of your mailed card.

I was sending my e-card and my message was lost. Can you retrieve it for me?



Unfortunately, we do not have access to personal e-card messages and are not
able to retrieve it for you. This often happens when the session times out. To
help prevent that, we recommend that you disable your pop-up blocker.

Will I receive a receipt for my gift, and is my gift tax-deductible?



For orders placed via check, your receipt will be mailed to you shortly after we
process your donation. Orders made online and over the phone with a credit card
will be receipted via email. All gift orders, except for physical merchandise,
are tax-deductible. Some merchandise orders include tax deductible portions as
noted in the gift description. We advise you speak with your tax advisor for
further information.

Can I have my employer or my spouse's employer match my donation made through
purchasing gifts in IJM's Gift Catalog?



Absolutely! If you are not sure whether your company offers a matching gift
program, you can easily find out here by searching for your employer's name.
(Physical merchandise purchases are not included.)

How secure is my information over the web?



All online transactions to International Justice Mission are done on a secure
server. This means that information entered on the transaction page is encrypted
using SSL (Secure Socket Layer) before transmission. On secure pages, the
website address in the bar at the top of the browser screen starts with a
"closed" lock symbol and "https" instead of an "http". Our donation pages are
certified by VeriSign and transactions are processed using a VeriSign merchant
account. Read our privacy policy. If you are concerned about placing your order
online, we can process your gift order over the phone. Please call 844.422.5878
to speak with a representative during office hours, 8:30am - 11:00pm ET.
