It addresses thee most-at-risk behaviours by reviewing the 10 Life Saving Rules of Energy Safety Canada. Industry identified the need for a single safety orientation to reduce duplicate training. This replaces the need for the BSO (Basic Safety Orientation, PST (Petroleum Safety Training), and Egso (Electronic General Safety Orientation). Allstar Enviro Safety is an Authorized Training Provider (ATP) for the CSO through Energy Safety Canada and offers the Classroom format. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FALL PROTECTION END USER Falls, trips and slips are one of the leading causes of injury and death, both at home and at the workplace. This industrial oriented program will focus on the underlying causes of falls, prevention and fall protection systems. This general program is approximately 6-8 hours and includes theory, movies and physical skills. Exercises on the physics of falls, fall hierarchy and fall protection systems, and harness training are components of this interactive seminar. Inspection of equipment. A 3 year certificate is awarded upon successful completion by Allstar Enviro Safety. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FIRST AID - BLENDED, EMERGENCY , STANDARD AND RECERTIFICATIONS - RED CROSS ORIENTED Blended learning is an exciting concept in acquiring your First aid certification. It is an innovative program in which the student completes the theory portion of the First aid program online, followed by a classroom day where they complete their physical skills with a certified instructor. In this manner, the student can achieve their Emergency First Aid or Standard First Aid with CPR A or C and AED. If your last course certificate has not expired, you may qualify for a shorter recertification. This saves the student having to spend a longer time in the classroom, but still achieves a Workplace- recognized First aid course (Occupational Health and Safety – oriented) in provinces, such as Alberta.. The certificate of training is valid for 3 years. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FOOD SAFETY (ADVANCED) BY SAFECHECK The SafeCheck tm Advanced Food Safety program is a classroom based seminar designed by the Canadian Food Safety Group. Employers are required to show documented evidence of their staff's regular safety training and competency on forklift operation. Staff operating Class 1 through 6 must be competent to operate a powered industrial truck safely, as it applies specifically to their job. Refresher training should be provided when staff are operating the vehicle unsafely, been involved in an accident or near miss, assigned a different type of truck or conditions in the workplace change that could affect the safe operation of their vehicle. We provide training with your equipment at your facility. Minimum group size is required. CERTIFICATION: Forklift training is required as per the Occupational health and safety legislation in Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba. Applicable legislation in Alberta is with OH&S part 19 – Powered Mobile Equipment. The recognized standard for CSA across Canada for Forklifts is CSA Standard B335-04. For OH&S and OSHA in the US, certification and recertification of forklift operators for Class 1 through is required. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FIT TESTING ON AIR PURIFYING MASKS - QUALITATIVE QUALITATIVE RESPIRATORY FIT TESTING FOR HALF AND FULL MASKS WITH FILTERED CARTRIDGES If you have staff that wear Half or Full Respiratory Masks with filtered cartridges, they should be fit tested! Employers are responsible to ensure that their workers have an appropriate seal when working with vapours, particulates and fumes that could cause chemical damage to the workers lungs. Employers must select and provide an appropriate respirator based on the respiratory hazards for which the worker is exposed. We conduct a Qualitative Fit Test, at your facility or ours.
