THE ZETA KAPPA CHAPTER

Is focused on impacting the educational outcomes of African-American Students in
Cerritos and the Orange County Area through ….

SCHOLARSHIPS

for College Students pursuing Education as a career and African-American High
Schoolers

EDUCATION PROGRAMS AND ADVOCACY

Includes women pursuing a degree in education, Educational Forums and PD,
Literacy Initiatives, ECE, Civil Rights and Education.

YOUTH PROGRAMS

High School participants are supported with life skills, academic assitance, and
college preparation. (Kudos and Xinos for grades 9-12)

SERVICE PROJECTS

At a part of our national sorority’s International projects in Third World
countries, Sickle Cell Research, Healthy Living, and Retired Teaching
Volunteering.

ABOUT US

The National Sorority of Phi Delta Kappa, Incorporated (NSPDK) is a professional
organization of women in the field of education. The three-point program –
Y.E.S., which stands for Youth, Education and Service, is the foundation of the
organization.  As a national educators’ sorority we have accepted the challenge
and responsibility of molding and shaping the lives of youth in various
communities throughout the world.  We have dedicated our professional services
to carrying the torch of enlightenment everywhere.

As a professional organization of well-trained and effective educators in all
components of the learning spectrum, the Zeta Kappa Chapter of the NSPDK, is
dedicated to training youth and adults to develop and enhance those skills,
abilities, attitudes and ethics that will prepare them to function successfully
in a democratic society.
