 1. A young dog, or a dog of any age that accompanies a new organization’s human
    founder(s) and employee(s) in the early stages of an organization’s life
 2. Man’s (and Woman’s) best friend that inspires and warms the heart of the
    people toiling to build a company
 3. A canine companion that is often found in the offices or homes of new and
    growing businesses or social enterprises that requires care, feeding,
    attention and frequent walking outdoors
 4. An animal that journeys with a team and helps change the world in the
    process.

DEFINITION OF A STARTUP [STAHRT-UHP]

Per the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor, which has been the “World’s Foremost
Study of Entrepreneurship” that began in 1999 as a research collaboration
between Babson College (USA) and the London Business School (UK), an
entrepreneurial venture is a new firm that is less than three years old. We use
this research-supported definition for our meaning of a “Startup”, and apply it
to all new organization types including, but not limited to, for-profit
businesses, non-profit organizations, social enterprises, B-corporations and
NGOs.

Startup Pup is dedicated to the puppies, young dogs, and even old dogs of
“Startup Land”.  We help you learn about the various dogs that keep the founders
and employees of the world’s new ventures company, and even contribute to their
success. We provide a forum for startup founders and employees to express how
grateful they are for their canine companions, and an outlet for the celebration
of these loyal animals.

More than that, we help people to love dogs even more. We help them care for
them better and realize the value of all animals and nature itself in the
process.

Startup Pup also has a doggy-social mission. We will donate part of our profits
to dog charities that are dedicated to ensuring better health, wellbeing,
shelter, and adoption of dogs. We seek to contribute to better canine care and
prevent the abuse of dogs and other animals for that matter. Having more dogs
adopted by loving startup families is another main mission of our doggy social
mission. Our foundation for this effort is names Startup Doggy and can be found
at www.startupdoggy.com.
