OUR FOUNDING TENET

IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE COMMUNITY - AND NOT ITS GOVERNMENT - TO
INTERGRATE NEWCOMERS, PROFESSIONALLY, SOCIALLY AND OTHERWISE

$20 WALKS

ONE-ON-ONE WITH A RIGOROUSLY TRAINED WAGGER

By handing us your leash you are supplying vital work to those that need it as
well as fund English lessons, sports games and community events for new New
Yorkers.

Meet The Team

BOUBA

Bouba came to New York in November 2023 from Guinea. He was a baker prior to
moving and has been staying at the migrant shelter. He is trying to make a life
here so his family can join him

Souleymane has been in a migrant shelter in the East Village since the start of
2024. He came seeking asylum from poverty in Senegal. He is a kind man and has
loved working with the dogs

SOULEYMANE

Arturo was our first Wagger. The company was born after an inspiring
conversation with Mustafa in Thompkins Square park about his experience so far
in America. We realized the migrants didn't know how to use the city and we
wanted to help

BETTER WALKS FOR A BETTER NEW YORK.

It's another to be welcoming to those who came anyway.

It's one thing to oppose immigration.

The number of migrants entering New York City each month

$394

What it costs per New Yorker in taxes to house asylum-seekers. This ought to be
able to be earned by these willing-to-work people.

English lessons

Many asylum-seekers come with no English. We provide Free English classes for
Waggers and other immigrants

Soccer

A growing group of migrants would play soccer in a cramped space by the shelter
in East Village near my house. Also nearby is a public field. The Wag league
encourages involvement in public facilities'

TESTIMONIALS

What Our Owners Have To Say

“Really easy to book and great servce.”

Charlie had so much fun with Souleymane, when he finished his dinner he passed
right out. Really good work guys.

Stephen Bunyard

The city needs more citizen-led initiatives like this. The migrant crisis is not
a crisis with positive thinking! I whole-heartedly endorse this activity

Leslie Hyland

“Wag would be tremendous value even if it was a for-profit”

"I'm a lifetime Wagger."

I found Wag through a flyer and thought it was a good initiative. After
collecting bean from his 2nd walk I'm already a convinced lifetime Wagger! I've
had two genuinely great interactions with walkers and found the whole thing
moving.
