in 2022 aiming to develop cleaner energy systems while maintaining energy

The winners will be two companies that have launched a large-scale joint venture

security and operational stability. Entrants are welcome from energy companies
that have partnered with organisations outside of the energy industry.

Entries to be judged according to the following criteria:

Collaboration and partnership – 40% of total score

 * Submission outlines how two partners have collaborated with each other and
   potentially more organisations to drive sustainability initiatives, such as
   reducing emissions, minimising water consumption, mitigating environmental
   impact, and exploring alternative, low-carbon energy sources.
 * The positive impact of the collaboration on how teams work together across
   companies, or organisations in terms of performance, efficiencies, and cost
   optimisation.
 * Details on how the results of the collaboration are measured.

Scale and industry impact – 30% of total score

 * Submission details the size and scale of the joint project actioned,
   including the inclusive, exemplary, or innovative aspects of the
   collaboration.
 * The projected impact of the initiative, in terms of reducing emissions and
   environmental impact and enhancing energy security.
 * Submission provides clear evidence of the significant progress, or success of
   the collaborative project/initiative, and its ability to replicate and scale
   up results across the energy value chain.

Commitment to sustainability – 30% of total score

 * Partner companies’ strategic agendas clearly demonstrate ambition to identify
   innovative solutions that mitigate the impact of their operations on climate
   change through collaborative projects/initiatives, and set out specific
   actions to reduce their emissions and environmental impact.
 * Evidence of the companies’ transparency in reporting the stages and
   measurements of the collaborations’ low-carbon developments and growth,
   including a clear statement of expected commitment to low-carbon development
   within 5 years and 10 years.

 * Originality in the identification of an initiative that addresses
   decarbonisation targets in developing economies, including:
    * A new technology or the application of a recognised technology to support
      decarbonisation.
    * Identify how the technology used would impact the industry.
    * A clear set of energy policies that address the low-carbon agenda, or a
      transparent business strategy with a clear timeline to address
      decarbonisation goals.

 * The submission clearly states the steps and strategy to support low-carbon
   development and growth within a developing economy company, including a
   clear, post-strategy, expected outcome.

Industry impact – 40% of total score

 * A clear demonstration of how the initiative will impact the industry, mapping
   out the before-and-after with measurable results.
 * The submission should provide evidence of how the new initiative will impact
   people and clients/customers, identifying the clear before-and-after.

Commitment to low-carbon development - 30% of total score

 * Submission demonstrates clear positive outcomes based on the initiative as
   part of the company’s commitment to a low-carbon agenda.
 * Evidence of the company’s transparency in reporting the stages and
   measurements of how the innovation/method selected is supporting low-carbon
   developments and growth in developing economies, including a clear statement
   of expected commitment to low-carbon development within 5 years and 10 years.

   the industry to become increasingly efficient, helping reduce costs and deal
   with the challenges of environmental pressures.
 * Clear demonstration of the innovative approaches to green hydrogen
   production, storage, and/or use.
 * Project involves zero- or low-emission hydrogen production, storage, or use
   case.

Industry impact – 40 % of total score

 * Submission to demonstrate how the project has made an outstanding
   contribution to the processes of the green hydrogen value chain and shown
   itself to be a technology leader.
 * A clear demonstration of how the initiative will impact the industry, mapping
   out the before-and-after with measurable results.
 * The submission should provide evidence of how the new initiative will impact
   people and the company’s clients/customers, identifying the clear
   before-and-after.

Economic Value – 30 %of total score

 * Submission describes the competitive advantages, the relationship between
   cost and benefits and the economic desirability of the project.
 * Projected megawatts of production and metric tons of green hydrogen.
 * Submission provides clear evidence of the ability to replicate and scale up
   the results of the project/initiative.

   existing technology, which represents a major invention or development in
   improving and progressing upon the current practices.
 * Originality in the identification of a concept that reduces negative
   environmental impacts and demonstrates the benefits of the innovation over
   existing methods.
 * The submission maps out the before-and-after process improvements and clearly
   defines the core operating processes it impacts, made clear in terms of
   measurable results such as reduced emissions production, reduced
   environmental impact, reduced water consumption, and improved energy
   efficiency.

Economic value – 40% of total score

 * A thorough business case has been completed for this project, product or
   service, validating the success of the project with proven results supported
   by key output KPIs, which might include but are not limited to:
   * ROI of innovation activities
   * Actual vs. targeted breakeven time for new products
   * Revenue/profit growth from new products
 * Submission describes the competitive advantages, the relationship between
   cost and benefits and the economic desirability of the project.

Industry impact – 20% of total score

 * Submission demonstrates the technology’s ability to move from a
   proof-of-concept trial, to one that will be applicable and repeatable across
   the industry. The current and/or future benefits and advantages for industry
   are to be clear and distinguishable.
   * Explain a clear and practical business application of the solution or
     initiative within the entire industry value chain.
   * Demonstrate the organisational and financial commitment towards the
     project/ product/service development and its commercial potential.

 * Submission provides clear evidence of the ability to replicate and scale up
   results of the collaborative project/initiative across the energy value
   chain.
 * Submission provides evidence of the quantifiable contribution the
   project/initiative has made to tackle key decarbonisation challenges.
 * Submission describes the competitive advantages, the relationship between

 * The candidate has a STEM degree (science, technology, engineering, or

   work environment, people and unplanned situations.

Recommendation – 10% of total score

 * Submission includes a personal recommendation from the candidate’s line
   manager or mentor.

Achievements and experience – 30% of total score

 * The candidate has at least 2 years of experience in the energy value chain
   and the submission outlines the scope of work, areas of involvement and key
   achievements.

Initiative and impact – 20% of total score

 * Submission showcases how the candidate goes beyond the regular scope of their
   work. Their planned initiatives or implemented actions should have made or
   have the potential to make a positive impact at a local, regional or
   international level in advancing the clean energy transition.

Leadership and role model – 25% of total score

 * Submission shows evidence that the candidate displays leadership qualities
   and acts as a team player.
 * The submission illustrates how the candidate influences other young

 * Submission provides evidence of making an impact beyond their immediate
   team/business, area/department, and is applicable across all levels of the
   organisation, including upper, middle and lower management.
 * Demonstrate how the programme makes progress towards the company’s goals
   related to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.

Sustainability – 25% of total score

 * Submission demonstrates positive sustainability outcomes arising from the
