The project’s design complements the neighboring historic buildings, and the building will have a patio that creates outdoor seating at the entrance of 5th Street. IN THE MEDIA 34-36 WEST MAIN ST. Marshalltown, IA This historic renovation project will join two neighboring 1860’s-era buildings to rejuvenate several retail bays on the first floor and convert former offices into affordable housing on the second and third floors. Completion scheduled for Fall 2023 IN THE MEDIA 304 5TH STREET West Des Moines This new construction project is scheduled for completion in the Fall of 2022. It will be Iowa’s first mass timber mixed-use building, featuring commercial on the first floor and a mixture of offices and multifamily housing on floors 2 and 3. IN THE MEDIA 329 5TH STREET West Des Moines This new construction project has multifamily and retail uses, and features a “pocket park” with outdoor greenspace for tenants. The building is outfitted with solar panels to reduce tenant utility costs. He is a native of West Des Moines and lives in the area with his wife, Molly. Molly joined Cutler Development after almost a decade as a chemical engineer in the petrochemical industry. She and Scott enjoy working together on projects and continue to push the boundaries of environmental design on both new construction and renovation projects.
