Training

In promoting our Invest in the Best Guiding Principle, we place a high value on
continuing education for our employees. For our Industrial Equipment Group (lift
trucks) technicians, we have corporate trainers that visit the branches to
conduct training and we offer 4 levels of certifications. For our Construction
Equipment Group technicians, we combine training from our corporate trainer and
trainers from our manufacturers, which offer certifications specific to their
equipment. Also, we send our managers, sales professionals, and administrative
staff to relevant training in their line of work to sharpen their skills and
stay up-to-date on the latest technologies and/or regulations.

I can rely on my team. They help me with any questions or concerns I may have. I

Helping my team members when they have questions about something or help a new

I try to pay attention to the announcements, and birthday/anniversary calendar
and send an e-mail to congratulate or wish a happy birthday to those on the
calendar.  I know from my own experience that when I receive an e-mail or phone
call, I have a feeling of being part of a team, being appreciated, and belonging
to something bigger.

Team! Honestly, it took me a little bit to get used to the procedures of a Sales
Coordinator but doing this for a year now, I see full circle how it works and
how we support each other.

What do you look forward to most every day coming to work?
I look forward to working with my Salesmen and helping them get their deals
done! We strive together to fulfill the customer’s needs. To be part of the team
for the past 13 years and working with them to grow the business means a lot to
me. We are like family!

I feel that being part of the Sales Coordinator team and learning from them,
helps me grow in my position. I appreciate them listening to my experiences and
working together to get the best results. I believe that if you invest in each
other, you will grow, and that mindset will spread to others around us.

What is your favorite part about working at Alta?
My favorite part about working at Alta is how I get the opportunity to provide
exceptional service to a loyal and appreciative customer base. Also, Alta has an
incredibly talented roster of employees that are not only enjoyable to work with
but extremely helpful and knowledgeable in their respective fields. 

What do you look forward to most every day coming to work?
As a field technician I love the diversity of work and the challenge associated
with it. There is no option of accepting failure or “shrugging your shoulders”
to then pass on the work. The satisfaction that comes from solving the problem
and getting our customers back on track is wonderful. That being said I look
forward to not only the battle of human versus machine but the ability to
provide the highest level of service to our customers. 

How do you invest in the best?
I invest in the best by staying at the forefront of innovation within the crane
industry and following through with any type of training allotted to me by Alta.
I also make sure to establish quality relationships with coworkers as well as
industry contacts that can provide assistance with their personal skillsets. In
a way, all of us technicians also invest in the best by providing top-caliber
service to our customers which in turn increases the trust and satisfaction
between Alta and the customer.

By always keeping an open mind and never thinking I know it all. To try and
learn from others and if I run into something that I have never done before make
notes to help me in the future. Asking questions to continue to learn so I can

The close tie between my coworkers and the technology we're implementing. We're

I invest in the best by focusing my support on the team by providing recognition
and resources needed to complete daily, weekly, and monthly goals. My main focus
is to hire and maintain the best people in the industry and remove obstacles so
they can learn, do and sell more while maintaining a customer-first pinnacle of
focus.

I would say my favorite part about working at Alta is how much it feels like
family.

What do you look forward to most every day coming to work?
I love the people I work with and would say that’s what I look forward to the
most.

How do you invest in the best?
I’ve basically grown up working at Alta. I was hired when I was 19. Almost my
entire working adult life has been invested in the best. I try my best to learn
about other departments so I can help where I am needed. If it can help make
other people’s jobs a little easier, that’s always a plus.

Working with a knowledgeable group of people throughout the company. I am lucky
to work with individuals who care about the company they work for.

What do you look forward to most every day coming to work?
The people I work with at the South Elgin branch and the variety of equipment.
It is not the same thing every day, it is always something different.

How do you invest in the best?
By helping anyone at the facility with any of their needs and going over
equipment with new employees so they are familiar with the equipment that is
being sold and can safely operate it.

What is your favorite part about working at Alta?
Working with the Alta Team and our customers! Being able to collaborate with
everyone, including the parts drivers, technicians, administrative personnel,
etc. during a challenging period is motivational.  It is great to see everyone
working together as a team, understanding, and displaying Alta’s Guiding
Principles. Working towards making Alta the best material handling, construction
equipment, and soon-to-be electric vehicle company in the industry. It is fun to

What do you look forward to most every day coming to work?
Making a difference! I love providing that top-notch “Chick-fil-A” customer
service to the Alta Team and customers – it fuels me. There is nothing better
than to hear a customer tell you that we provide the best customer service and
support than any other organization in the industry or a team member thank you
for assisting them by resolving an issue. I enjoy being a part of a proactive
and enthusiastic team, centered around great vibes and atmosphere. Working
towards making Alta better each day!

How do you invest in the best?
Investing in our customers and team. Coaching, teaching, guiding, and mentoring
makes the team more competent so that we are more confident and capable. Driving
creativity, so that we can continue to innovate and find solutions to challenges
during difficult times. Continue to strive towards excellence by continuously
motivating and building upon a competitive and collaborative team. For our
customers - providing top-notch customer service, establishing a relationship,
showing appreciation, and always trying to exceed the customer’s expectations.

What is your favorite part about working at Alta?
It’s the people - Being part of a unified team that’s innovative and
goal-oriented. We feed off each other’s desire to accomplish bigger and better
things, and I really appreciate that. 

What do you look forward to most every day coming to work?
The best part of coming to work every day is that I'm faced with new and
exciting challenges. While at times it can be difficult, it’s a thrill to face
problems head-on and find new ways to overcome them. I really have to give
credit to the team. With them, I never feel there is a challenge or objective I
can't handle. 

How do you invest in the best?
Dedication to continuous improvement learning and challenging myself daily.
There is a lot I know and even more that I don't. I try to pass on the knowledge
I have to my team, while also listening and learning from them. I try and keep
an open mind and constantly look for ways to work with my team to improve and
streamline our current processes.

I can rely on my team. They help me with any questions or concerns I may have. I
enjoy being part of a confident team. Knowing that we can make a difference.

How do you invest in the best?
Helping my team members when they have questions about something or help a new
employee.

The challenges throughout the day. The technician calls received regarding
obscure issues that need a solution.  E-mails with a variety of challenges that
cause you to reflect on past experiences to solve them.  The texts in the
evening remind me of what the next day will bring.

What do you look forward to most every day coming to work?
The 14 technicians who look to me for guidance, answers, and solutions.

How do you invest in the best?
I try to pay attention to the announcements, and birthday/anniversary calendar
and send an e-mail to congratulate or wish a happy birthday to those on the
calendar.  I know from my own experience that when I receive an e-mail or phone
call, I have a feeling of being part of a team, being appreciated, and belonging
to something bigger.
