As part of the store’s most extensive collection of pigs in blankets to date, the giant pork filled Yorkie will be making a come back in time for the big day. Priced at £4.99, the 380g side boasts of a whopping 60cm (two feet long) pig in blanket made from British pork, inside a large Yorkshire pudding. Fans won’t have too long to wait as it’ll be available from December 14. Aldi caused quite the frenzy when it first ever released the pig in blanket Yorkshire pudding, with plenty of shoppers eager to get their hands on it again this year. On Facebook, Chris tagged a friend and wrote: “FIND IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” Paige put: “Christmas Dinner sorted.” Amie added: “Need to have this!” Sadie declared: “A million percent we need these for Xmas day.” But that won’t be all, Aldi is also welcoming new additions to store this Christmas – including a candy cane shaped brie and a cranberry pig in blanket. Brand new for 2023 is the Yorkshire Pudding Wrap with Pigs in Blankets (£5.49, 391g). The wrap combines two sausages wrapped in flavoursome smoky bacon nested in a buttery Yorkshire pudding wrap. Available in stores from November 30. Aldi will be selling a vast range of festive pork dishes this Christmas (Image: Aldi) Shoppers will also be able to enjoy a new show stopping addition with the supermarket’s Specially Selected Brie and Cranberry Candy Cane Pig in Blankets. This pig in blanket is infused with punchy cranberry and creamy brie, shaped as a festive candy cane and will be available from December 7 for £2.99. There will also be Aldi’s Specially Selected Pork, Maple & Chestnut Chipolatas Wrapped in Bacon. For £3.19, customers can tuck into maple and chestnut-infused sausage wrapped in smoked streaky bacon from December 7. For the pork purists, Aldi’s Specially Selected Pigs in Blankets (£2.99, 210g) are “back by popular demand” from November 24. There will also be Plant Menu Ultimate Vegan Pigs in Blankets coming to stores from December 19 (£2.99, 228g), made with the supermarket’s award-winning succulent Ultimate No Pork Sausages and wrapped in smoky vegan bacon. Another festive pork dish returning to shelves is the Specially Selected Chipolatas Wrapped in Bacon (£2.49, 247g). Available in two flavours, Classic and Caramelised Onion, these premium pig in blankets will perfectly compliment any festive dinner – from December 19. Shoppers will soon be able to delve into Aldi’s Specially Selected Pigs in Blanket Pizza (£4.49, 535g) too from December 8. Aldi isn’t the only supermarket stocking festive meals ahead of Christmas. Marks and Spencer is selling different sides, meats and platters – including Baked Brie EnCroute, Handcrafted Festive Sausage Roll Garland and a Cheeseboard Selection. Lidl is selling a Deluxe Winter Sharing Pie and and a Vegan Sausage and Cranberry Wreath. Sainsbury’s has T ruffle Flavoured Pigs In Blankets.
