TORONTO BUDDHA’S LIGHT SCOUTS REVIVE KUB KAR COMPETITION POST-EPIDEMIC

On the afternoon of April 14th, 2024, the Toronto Buddha's Light Scouts breathed
new life into their annual Kub Kar race competition at the Fo Guang Shan Temple
of Toronto's dining Hall, marking a joyful return to in-person events in the
post-pandemic landscape. The Kub Kar race, organized by age groups, saw spirited
participation from Scouts, Cubs, and Beavers, with each group fielding nine cars
in both racing and styling competitions.


SETTING OUT ON THE PATH OF DISCOVERY: TORONTO YOUTH COMMENCE TRANSFORMATIVE
JOURNEY THROUGH YOUTH TEMPLE RETREAT

At the Fo Guang Shan Temple of Toronto, the 2024 Youth Retreat was held from
March 29th to 31st, drawing 29 young individuals eager to immerse themselves in
the teachings and lifestyle of Humanistic Buddhism. This initiative aimed to
guide participants on a transformative journey of self-discovery and spiritual
exploration.


BLIA TORONTO CHAPTER'S DA TZU 2 SUBCHAPTER HOSTS "GOOD TO HAVE YOU MEMBERS
GATHERING"

Gathering" On the afternoon of March 31st, the Da Tzu 2 Subchapter of the
Buddha's Light International Association (BLIA) Toronto Chapter organized a
special event at the Fo Guang Shan Temple of Toronto. The "Good to Have You
Members Gathering" aimed to express gratitude to senior members for their
continuous support to Fo Guang Shan and BLIA, while also warmly welcoming new
members to the subchapter. The event was graced by the presence of Monastic
Advisor Ven. Man Long and BLIAToronto Chapter director Sue Hutchison, along with
over 30 members in attendance.
