OUR PATRON SAINT

Born to a wealthy and distinguished family in Caesarea, Asia Minor, in 330 A.D.,
Saint Basil was educated in Constantinople and Athens, the cultural centers of
the world. Although he received a secular education and became an outstanding
scholar, he abandoned school for the contemplation of the ascetic life.

The Residential Life Department is responsible for the everyday living of Saint
Basil Academy’s resident children.



NICHOLAS J. SUMAS LIBRARY FOR CHILDREN

Saint Basil Academy has a library with a well-stocked selection of Reading
books, periodicals, and reference books.



MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES

Saint Basil Academy provides comprehensive clinical services to our children,
and when appropriate, their families.
