A young boy with big dreams, far from his family alone at boarding school,
struggles with a speech impediment and homesickness.

Having lived for five years in Holland, and about to be accepted by a
prestigious Dutch Secondary School, a young boy of eleven refuses to return with
his family back to Canada. After finding out that the school also provides
boarding, Benny does temporarily travel to Canada with his family, to return at
the end of the summer by himself to attend Rolduc, a seminary and high school in
the southern tip of Holland, nestled against the German border. Join Ben in his
adventures during his time far away from his family in Canada, his struggles
with a speech impediment and homesickness, and relive his younger years spent in
a small Dutch village in the late 1960s...
