WHAT COUNTS AS "ALL-ELECTRIC" UPGRADES?

BlocPower finances and installs a variety of energy-efficient, all-electric home
and building upgrades. That means everything from replacing your furnace or
boiler with an ENERGY STAR-rated air source heat pump for your heating and
cooling needs to weatherizing your property so your equipment doesn’t have to
use as much energy.

You want a list of everything we can do? Well, we don’t have room for that here,
but to give you a sense: heat pumps, electric vehicle charging, induction and
electric stoves, heat pump water heaters, air sealing, rooftop solar,
insulation, electric washers and dryers, windows.


WHY WOULD I WANT A HEAT PUMP TO REPLACE MY CURRENT SYSTEM?

The best reason for upgrading to a heat pump for your heating and cooling needs
is because of its performance — it’s 2 to 5 times more efficient than boilers,
furnaces or window air conditioners. (And before you ask, yes — it does work in
below-freezing weather.)

Heat pumps also filter the air so you’re breathing cleaner, healthier air (not
to mention they don’t emit flue gases and carbon pollution that’s bad for you
and your community.)

In addition, heat pumps provide precise, room-by-room control that just isn’t
possible in even the newest boiler or furnace models. More control means more
comfort for you, your family, guests and tenants.

Finally, you can join the millions of Americans who made the switch in 2022 when
heat pump sales outpaced gas-powered heating systems.


WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF WEATHERIZATION UPGRADES?

Weatherization is a means to protect your home or building from the outdoor
elements. Think: insulation, double glazed windows, even those sweeps that can
be glued to the bottom of your door. You may also hear the phrase “air sealing”

WHAT STEPS CAN I EXPECT IF WE PARTNER ON MY PROJECT?

Home and building renovations are never a straight line but when you partner
with BlocPower, we handle it all from to A to Z. Here’s what to expect from us

 1. Qualify: Fill out a brief questionnaire about your home or building.
 2. Schedule: Schedule a call with BlocPower when it’s convenient for you.
 3. Proposal: Review detailed proposed scope of work (SOW) and financing
    options.
 4. Contract: Sign project plan, SOW and preferred method of financing
 5. Construction: BlocPower manages projects to ensure high-quality and on-time
    installation.
 6. Peace of Mind: We handle maintenance system performance for 15+ years

performance with twice-yearly maintenance visits over the entire period of the
lease. Think of it like going to the dealership, except we come to you!
