 * KINESIOLOGY ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR FEATURED ON PODCAST
   
   Matt Robinson, associate professor of kinesiology, was recently interviewed
   by Michael Mosley on the BBC Stay Young podcast. Listen to their discussion
   about the benefits of high-intensity exercise.

 * ASSISTANT PROFESSOR HELPS MAKE EDUCATION MORE AFFORDABLE
   
   Assistant Professor Marit Bovbjerg authored an openly licensed textbook,
   Foundations of Epidemiology (2020). It has been viewed more than 50,000 times
   and downloaded 2,856 times in the past year alone. Oregon State Ecampus
   recently highlighted this effort for making education more affordable. Thank
   you, Marit!

 * RECENT ALUMNUS WINS ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AGENCY AWARD
   
   Environmental and Occupational Health MPH alumnus Bruce Franz '23 received an
   award at the 2023 annual Pacific Ecological Systems Division award ceremony
   for his work to make ground water monitoring more accessible to stakeholders.

 * WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT PROJECT LAUNCHED
   
   OCHI has launched a Spanish-English Health Care Interpreter Training, in
   partnership with PACE, and with a generous gift from Eastern Oregon
   Coordinated Care Organization. This OHA-approved training program prepares
   participants to become qualified or certified health care interpreters in
   Oregon.

A pathway to medical careers

Students get the background to pursue a variety of medical careers, from
medicine to occupational therapy.

Research powerhouse

College researchers brought in $24 million in research funding in FY ’23, and
all students are encouraged to engage in research activities.
