Outstanding food! The Signature menu was phenomenal! From start to finish our
server Caroline was a fantastic. Each dish was explained beautifully, this made
it a very enjoyable experience! Myself and friends were greeted by Chef
Raffaella after we finished our meal this was such a nice touch, and also gave
us a chance to really say thank to Raffaella for such a lovely meal. A very
young talented women indeed! The Rose Veal fillet was the absolute winner for
me! I would 100 percent recommend this dish. A Superb Saturday Dinner for 3
friends catching up. We cannot wait to visit again!

We have been to this restaurant before – the reason we returned was the
excellence of the food and gentle ambiance. Service is friendly, cheerful and
capable and it was very pleasant to see, in true continental style, a well
behaved small child and a very discreetly nursed new baby welcomed and kindly
accommodated. On this occasion, five of us came for a birthday lunch for one
member of the party and had, by pre-arrangement, the full menu exceptionel, with
(expertly chosen and generously poured) wine flights. Lunch tables are generally
available for two or so hours: we were there for four hours and did not feel
rushed at all. If wanting the 7-course menu exceptionel at lunch time, I would
recommend doing as I did and asking for this at time of booking as a matter of
courtesy. The restaurant is small (though not cramped) and as the full tasting
menu takes time to enjoy, it is sensible to make sure you can be accommodated
over that time and the staff can still not be rushed to get evening service
started. The food was, as it has been before, exceptional: one member of our
party, an experienced chef, commented that he considered it the best restaurant
he had ever eaten at across a broad experience of many countries. All the food
is good: so good it is hard to select a favourite course. The smoked eel custard
with the scallop course, and the apple and coconut combination for one of the
puddings, perhaps stood out today. I notice one review on here comments
unfavourably on the sauce with the (extremely good) Chateaubriand. Whoever wrote
that review had clearly never tasted a correctly made demi-glace: it was of
superb quality, perfectly clear, and very well-flavoured, displaying an
expertise on its maker's part that would have been expected of classical chefs
such as Brillat-Savarin or Escoffier. Portions are just right for a seven course
menu: one leaves feeling satisfied, but not overstuffed. Presentation is a
delight: many photos were taken! All in all a delightful meal, a delightful way
to spend a few hours, and many thanks to chef Raffa and her for her handwork,
and to Miles for explaining our wines. Looking forward to seeing the next menus
for June and July. As for cost – looks too expensive for you? It's not, not for
the value and the experience. I'd sooner eat less frequently here, but eat much
better,

Perfect couples Sunday roast We came for a Sunday lunch and every bit of it was
delicious. All 3 courses were perfectly cooked and I would particularly
recommend the aged beef – it was soft and fell apart as you ate it. Not your
traditional roast but a great experience all around and nice to meet Chef
Raffaela after the meal. Will definitely come again.

GREAT MEAL OUT Myself and my partner visited for the first time on Saturday
early at 5.15. The service attention was fantastic and very helpful. Food was
served quickly and was delicious – the atmosphere built up as more people came
in and it was great tk be able to see the kitchen staff at work on screen and
through the large open plan hatch. We will be returning, very cosy and warm

The most exceptional lunch. This is an amazing restaurant with a friendly
atmosphere and the most delicious food. Like being on a masterchef event. The
food and the service are second to none. We can’t rate it highly enough.

Highly recommend A fabulous independent restaurant. The food was innovative and
beautifully cooked and presented. The service was friendly, relaxed but
attentive. The staff were very knowledgeable about the food and the wine. It
seemed like a very cohesive team who enjoyed their work. The chef spoke with us
at the end of the meal to check all was well and to receive any suggestions. All
in all a great experience.

showcased the staffs passion for what they do. Very generous wine flight
portions and a real sense of a restaurant going places . Couldn’t manage
everything as a lot of food albeit nothing outfacing on its own. Deserve to get

Highly recommended and we will return. The food was truly wonderful – so
creative … but not in a weird way! Fabulous flavours put together cleverly and
with thought for the combinations. The staff – well, they can’t be praised
highly enough. We were 3 dining, one of whom has mobility problems and they
couldn’t have been more helpful. Altogether an excellent experience and a
memorable evening.

Great food, staff and worth a visit – BUT ask to sit in main part of restaurant.
Great attention to detail, amazing food, & lovely staff, the only downside was
our table, as we were sat facing the corner, in a smaller separate part of the
restaurant. The restaurant has two areas. One as you walk in the door – which is
nice (but has the corner facing table). The main area has a window through to
the kitchen so hence the ‘Chef’s Table’ name, but you can’t see it from the
entrance area, which defeats the object. Personally I feel this should be
mentioned when you book. I would recommend asking for a table in the main area.

High quality dining experience We had the menu exceptional and it certainly was.
Picking a highlight is tricky but the sheer breadth of flavours in the foie gras
starter, the scallop dish and the monkfish in coconut bisque risotto took the
breath away. The wine flight is absolutely worth adding, wines are carefully
paired and thoroughly explained – it is almost like getting a wine tasting class
thrown in. Of course it isn’t cheap but thoroughly recommended for a special
occasion.

EXCEPTIONAL EXPERIENCE Why, oh, why has this restaurant not got a Michelin
really beyond me. The food and presentation are exceptional, as well as the
service. We took some friends,( of whom are very well travelled and eat at
Michelin Star restaurants only),there on the 8th of August . We all had the
“Exceptional Menu” ,& it was too die for. Beautiful flavours that kept popping
in your mouth, extraordinary textures & and flavours left you wanting more. This
restaurant is the BEST in Bristol in all of our views The whole team must be

Spectacular meal with outstanding personal service We visited the restaurant to
celebrate my mothers 80th birthday. This restaurant deserves every positive
review you read here. The food was remarkable – beautifully presented,
interesting ingredients, faultless techniques and, most importantly, totally
delicious. Miles was a fabulous host – there had been a muddle in our arrival
time that he handled with enormous grace, he explained the wine flight with the
right balance of expertise and common touch and made a couple of adjustments to
ensure that the whole table had a wonderful evening. Chef Conrad came out to see
us at the end of our meal and it was lovely to be able to compliment him in
person on a memorable meal we will talk about for any years to come.

Really lovely treat. Fabulous meal – food is of a very high standard. It’s a
small restaurant- we had a good table by the window, be careful there is a table
in the door way as you come in. We had the 7/8 course meal – each course really
was delicious- with a array of gorgeous tastes, textures and flavours. Liked
being able to see kitchen via a window and screen. Staff were pleasant and
knowledgeable- food was described as point down but a little quick. Most tables
are turned round for a layer sitting- but we did not feel rushed. It’s pricey-
but worth it for a treat. Well done to all.

Fine dining at its best My husband and I went here for lunch as part of a
belated Christmas gift and we were not disappointed. We both had the five course
light lunch menu. Each course was beautifully presented and every mouthful was
exquisite. The raviolo in particular was absolutely delicious. Chloe, the
assistant manager, was a delight and was so friendly and helpful. At the end of
the meal the chef came and had a chat with us which was a really nice touch. We
have eaten in quite a few Michelin starred restaurant and I don’t think it will
be long before Chef’s Table get their first star. Thank you for a wonderful

A fantastic experience. Great service and food. An outstanding restaurant. We
were all down in Bristol for a few days and always try to find a quality
restaurant to eat out in. We originally was going to eat off the menu but upon
arrival we went for the taster menu. The staff were very accommodating and
service was great. Without a doubt the best Venison dish ever and the Scallops
were fantastic. A great table right by the kitchen window. The head chef came
out at the end to chat with us about the food etc.

Seamless service and beautiful menu for a party of twelve. Another fantastic
evening at Chefs Table. Conrad in the kitchen, with Miles out front and Chloe.
We were a party of 12 celebrating a birthday and the whole experience was
seamless. Passionate about great food with an informal style front of house
which is easy and exudes confidence in what they are delivering. One of the few
places I still enjoy eating in Bristol. The entire evening was excellent. My
only ask is to purchase larger water glasses for those who consume a lot of it.

It's a very nice small restaurant, in a good place. We like the ambiance very
much, the services were ok, ( sometimes the customers are not all of them from
England, so therefore a slightly understanding from the waiters are very
welcome, and the discussion a little rare is much appreciated). We enjoyed all
the food, the carots and asparagus were amazing, very delicious almost
everything we order, a small disappointment it was the beef because in our
opinion it was not as delicious as we expected to be.

Great food, staff and worth a visit – BUT ask to sit in main part of restaurant.
Great attention to detail, amazing food, & lovely staff, the only downside was
our table, as we were sat facing the corner, in a smaller separate part of the
restaurant. The restaurant has two areas. One as you walk in the door – which is
nice (but has the corner facing table). The main area has a window through to
the kitchen so hence the ‘Chef’s Table’ name, but you can’t see it from the
entrance area, which defeats the object. Personally I feel this should be
mentioned when you book. I would recommend asking for a table in the main area.

High quality dining experience We had the menu exceptional and it certainly was.
Picking a highlight is tricky but the sheer breadth of flavours in the foie gras
starter, the scallop dish and the monkfish in coconut bisque risotto took the
breath away. The wine flight is absolutely worth adding, wines are carefully
paired and thoroughly explained – it is almost like getting a wine tasting class
thrown in. Of course it isn’t cheap but thoroughly recommended for a special
occasion.

EXCEPTIONAL EXPERIENCE Why, oh, why has this restaurant not got a Michelin
really beyond me. The food and presentation are exceptional, as well as the
service. We took some friends,( of whom are very well travelled and eat at
Michelin Star restaurants only),there on the 8th of August . We all had the
“Exceptional Menu” ,& it was too die for. Beautiful flavours that kept popping
in your mouth, extraordinary textures & and flavours left you wanting more. This
restaurant is the BEST in Bristol in all of our views The whole team must be
congratulated on their hard work & professionalism it really shines through. We

Wow What a great find. Amazing food, amazing wine and amazing staff. The
sommelier (sorry we didn’t catch his name) took us on an amazing wine journey
and the staff were all wonderful. However, we must call our Sophia who was
delightful. Can’t recommend it highly enough.

Spectacular meal with outstanding personal service We visited the restaurant to
celebrate my mothers 80th birthday. This restaurant deserves every positive
review you read here. The food was remarkable – beautifully presented,
interesting ingredients, faultless techniques and, most importantly, totally
delicious. Miles was a fabulous host – there had been a muddle in our arrival
time that he handled with enormous grace, he explained the wine flight with the
right balance of expertise and common touch and made a couple of adjustments to
ensure that the whole table had a wonderful evening. Chef Conrad came out to see
us at the end of our meal and it was lovely to be able to compliment him in
person on a memorable meal we will talk about for any years to come.

Really lovely treat. Fabulous meal – food is of a very high standard. It’s a
small restaurant- we had a good table by the window, be careful there is a table
in the door way as you come in. We had the 7/8 course meal – each course really
was delicious- with a array of gorgeous tastes, textures and flavours. Liked
being able to see kitchen via a window and screen. Staff were pleasant and
knowledgeable- food was described as point down but a little quick. Most tables
are turned round for a layer sitting- but we did not feel rushed. It’s pricey-
but worth it for a treat. Well done to all.

I love this place Fantastic tasting menu in a beautiful building with a window
through to the kitchen, great to watch the chefs at work. Staff very pleasant

Fine dining at its best My husband and I went here for lunch as part of a
belated Christmas gift and we were not disappointed. We both had the five course
light lunch menu. Each course was beautifully presented and every mouthful was
exquisite. The raviolo in particular was absolutely delicious. Chloe, the
assistant manager, was a delight and was so friendly and helpful. At the end of
the meal the chef came and had a chat with us which was a really nice touch. We
have eaten in quite a few Michelin starred restaurant and I don’t think it will
be long before Chef’s Table get their first star. Thank you for a wonderful
experience.

A fantastic experience. Great service and food. An outstanding restaurant. We
were all down in Bristol for a few days and always try to find a quality
restaurant to eat out in. We originally was going to eat off the menu but upon
arrival we went for the taster menu. The staff were very accommodating and
service was great. Without a doubt the best Venison dish ever and the Scallops
were fantastic. A great table right by the kitchen window. The head chef came
out at the end to chat with us about the food etc.

Seamless service and beautiful menu for a party of twelve. Another fantastic
evening at Chefs Table. Conrad in the kitchen, with Miles out front and Chloe.
We were a party of 12 celebrating a birthday and the whole experience was
seamless. Passionate about great food with an informal style front of house
which is easy and exudes confidence in what they are delivering. One of the few
places I still enjoy eating in Bristol. The entire evening was excellent. My
only ask is to purchase larger water glasses for those who consume a lot of it.

It's a very nice small restaurant, in a good place. We like the ambiance very
much, the services were ok, ( sometimes the customers are not all of them from
England, so therefore a slightly understanding from the waiters are very
welcome, and the discussion a little rare is much appreciated). We enjoyed all
the food, the carots and asparagus were amazing, very delicious almost
everything we order, a small disappointment it was the beef because in our
opinion it was not as delicious as we expected to be.

We have been to this restaurant before – the reason we returned was the
excellence of the food and gentle ambiance. Service is friendly, cheerful and
capable and it was very pleasant to see, in true continental style, a well
behaved small child and a very discreetly nursed new baby welcomed and kindly
accommodated. On this occasion, five of us came for a birthday lunch for one
member of the party and had, by pre-arrangement, the full menu exceptionel, with
(expertly chosen and generously poured) wine flights. Lunch tables are generally
available for two or so hours: we were there for four hours and did not feel
rushed at all. If wanting the 7-course menu exceptionel at lunch time, I would
recommend doing as I did and asking for this at time of booking as a matter of
courtesy. The restaurant is small (though not cramped) and as the full tasting
menu takes time to enjoy, it is sensible to make sure you can be accommodated
over that time and the staff can still not be rushed to get evening service
started. The food was, as it has been before, exceptional: one member of our
party, an experienced chef, commented that he considered it the best restaurant
he had ever eaten at across a broad experience of many countries. All the food
is good: so good it is hard to select a favourite course. The smoked eel custard
with the scallop course, and the apple and coconut combination for one of the
puddings, perhaps stood out today. I notice one review on here comments
unfavourably on the sauce with the (extremely good) Chateaubriand. Whoever wrote
that review had clearly never tasted a correctly made demi-glace: it was of
superb quality, perfectly clear, and very well-flavoured, displaying an
expertise on its maker's part that would have been expected of classical chefs
such as Brillat-Savarin or Escoffier. Portions are just right for a seven course
menu: one leaves feeling satisfied, but not overstuffed. Presentation is a
delight: many photos were taken! All in all a delightful meal, a delightful way
to spend a few hours, and many thanks to chef Raffa and her for her handwork,
and to Miles for explaining our wines. Looking forward to seeing the next menus
for June and July. As for cost – looks too expensive for you? It's not, not for
the value and the experience. I'd sooner eat less frequently here, but eat much
better,
