Children under 40 require an accompanying FOE (friend of Elayne) for viewing, as it may contain hilarious activity, intense or persistent silliness and offbeat language. galleries ELAYNE HEINEN - AUGUST 28, 1924 The LORD called Elayne home on Tuesday, February 28, at the age of 87. Before she left, she was able to reflect back on a life well-spent, rich in relationships, secure in the knowledge she held the love and esteem of family and friends. (And that Fox News would manage without her.) This was underscored at her last “Ducker” party — a moving and hilarious testament to her creativity, sense of humor and accomplishments given and attended by some of her closest friends. Elayne is survived by two children, Mike and Jolayne Heinen, as well as a brother, Lew Holston. Her husband Joe passed away in 1994 and has asked God to put her in the “North 40,” as he needs a few more centuries of peace before he’s ready to reunite. TO FEBRUARY 28, 2012 Elayne had three priorities in life: God, family and friends. Since she “never met a stranger,” Elayne has friends all over Southern California, even in parts unknown around the world. Elayne was a lifetime member of La Quinta Country Club, which she joined in the early 70s. If the saying “a woman lives as long as her name is being spoken” is true, her uproarious escapades, tournaments and charity benefits will be talked about for years to come. In lieu of memorial services, this website has been created to showcase her extraordinary capacity for fun and to thank her many friends who have supported and loved her over the years. Without them, Elayne would have outlived every one of them. Short, funny Elayne-isms or anecdotes are encouraged by visiting the post comments page on this site.
