Muttnik NFTs celebrate the legendary cosmic canine friends who paved the way for
human space flight.

In 1951, the Soviet Union was the First Nation in the world to send the first
dogs into space.

July 22, 2021 marked the 70th Anniversary of the of the first flight of Lezik
and Tsyga, Cosmic Paws honors our Earth famous space dogs–starting with the most
famously-known space dog of the Muttniks collection: Laika. (SOLD OUT) We now
share with the world Zyezdochka (aka STAR)

Jump foward to 1957, when Laika (nicknamed a “Muttnik” in reference to her being
mixed-breed and following the successful flight of first spacecraft Sputnik)
became the first living being to orbit the earth in a spacecraft. It is now the
stuff of legend how no recourse was made for Laika’s safe return; she famously
died orbiting the earth.

Though these fur friends unwittingly went to space, they ultimately became
pioneers. Earth’s first dogs in space are all a special kind of space dog hero.
Each and every one is worthy of being remembered and celebrated. Like all good
dogs, Muttniks live for fun. We have created the collection Muttniks the kind of
adventurers life and dog family love all of them deserve. Remixes will extend
their lives even fur-ther!

Muttniks are the Earth’s first Cosmic Paw pioneers. Our artistic process: The
Muttniks team is a group of real life friends, actual kind humans, true dog
lovers (and all animals, really), working space professionals, and career
artists–ensuring the Muttniks history, legacy, and bravery is remembered,
preserved, retold, and celebrated on the blockchain. The Muttniks actual bravery
is unquestioned and unparalleled. Their sacrifice is real. And their
contribution, until now, has gone largely unrecognized. In real life, the space
flights of the real Muttniks contributed immensely to the advent and safety of
space flight and ultimately humankind’s ability to be better (kinder) human
beings, and worthy of becoming a multiplanetary species.

Laika, Tsygan, Dezik, Lisa, and all the Muttniks (there have been nearly 100
dogs from all the world’s space programs who have been to space) are names we
get to hold high and to revere, especially those special Muttniks who made the
ultimate sacrifice! Muttniks NFTs are placeholders in history–until the time
when we can invent a time machine and go round them up and save them. (The
actual plan!)

The Muttniks NFTs collection is generated from randomized original character
layers and integrated into a ERC-721 contract. Files are backed by the
Inter-Planetary-File-Storage system (IPFS) and registered on the Ethereum
Blockchain.




FUN FACTS

November 3rd, 2021 will be the 64th anniversary of Laika’s Sputnik 2 launch. The
Muttniks Team will be speaking at NFT.NYC come say hello!

THAT IS TRULY RANDOMIZED

 * Each minting launches a random generated Star into orbit. Unique to the
   Cosmic Paws platform, the collector can choose to MINT or Regenerate. If a
   Star Muttnik is regenerated, it’s traits are returned to the generator. There
   is NO going back if you abandon a Star Muttnik.
 * Full commercial rights for remix or reproduction, are granted to each token
   holder for their specific Star. They must list any sales as a “Remix” Star.
   This license does not contain ownership of any IP.
 * No Bonding Curve. Discounts are given to Laika Muttnik holders.
 * Each Muttnik is minted in order of launch.
 * "For All Muttkind" is a credo that the Muttniks take seriously. Our Muttniks’
   launchpad has been designed from inception to create an even playing field
   for all collectors throughout the universe.


AND ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY

 * Through our partnership with sustainability platform, Aerial, all NFTs made
   available by Cosmic Paws are carbon-offset.
 * Aerial is a sustainability platform that calculates the carbon emissions
   based on associated energy use. The offsets will be allocated to high-quality
   forest conservation projects verified by American Carbon Registry and to
   emerging technologies such as Charm industrial that captures carbon from
   biomass waste and permanently stores it underground.
