ABOUT JENNIFER PUMPELLY LMT, CSAMP OR. #12000

I have been a Massage Therapist since 2005 graduating with honors from Ashmead
School of Massage Therapy in Tigard, OR. I have been practicing at SW Physical
Therapy in Tigard, OR. since 2008.  There I have a steady practice that focuses
on Injury treatment, MVA related injuries, and work related injuries. I have
many years of continuing education in Myofascial Release, Sports Massage,
Cupping, and Structural Integration. In 2021 I got certified in small animal
massage from Northwest School of Animal Massage in Vashon, WA. I have a love and
passion for all animals. I grew up with all sorts of animals including horses
which I showed in 4- H. I currently own 4 Rhodesian Ridgebacks that I am madly
in love with. I share a special bond with each of them, which I am honored to
show them in conformation. We also compete in Agility, Obedience, Rally, and
Lure Coursing. They have been my driving force to be a massage therapist for
dogs, and small animals. I treat with compassion, Integrity and dedication to
all dogs and their owners. I believe Massage Therapy is a gentle yet effective
modality to help each dog reach their full potential. Whether that be
relaxation, decrease anxiety and stress, or to improve performance goals.

What types of massage therapy do we offer?

Depending on the dogs evaluation, there are 3 forms of massage that can help
these animals including relaxation, sports, and remedial massage. Learn more

SERVICES AND TECHNIQUES

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

RELAXATION MASSAGE

Relaxation massages can help your dog to unwind and destress by using long
repetitive strokes of effluerage. Some petrissage stroke is also used to create
a nice sense of relaxation. This type of massage would also include some form of
stretching as well. 

SPORTS MASSAGE

Sports massage is generally used to get the muscles and tissue to warm up before
an event, along with some stretching. This is a great form of massage to be used
at an agility trial, coursing trial, or before a dog performs any form of
action. 

REMEDIAL MASSAGE

Remedial massage is a targeted treatment ideal for those with chronic pain and
injuries. This session could include deeper forms of massage and myofascial
work. Potential techniques used might be trigger points, frictions, myofascial
techniques, and stretching. The use of relaxing strokes in between treatment
techniques will keep the dog relaxed.
