ABOUT US

At Cove Film we make creative documentaries that tell powerful stories, provide
production and post services, and host edit/post/finishing retreats with a view
of the sea.

Cove builds on Producer and Director of Photography Joe Bender’s decades of
experience making featured documentaries for the highest level of exhibition and
distribution. As Co-founder and producer at Third Party Films in Brooklyn, NY he
shot, produced, and delivered seven feature docs that premiered at Sundance and
TIFF, among others. He now brings that wealth of experience to Nova Scotia as a
freelance DP and in new collaborations as producer and cinematographer. New
films are in the works and will be posted here in the coming months. Oh, and we
also have the only full service editing and color suite on the South Shore ✂✂✂.

EDIT AND POST RETREATS:

 * When remote editing just isn't cutting it any more, or you need a change of
   scene for that big story breakthrough, come to the gorgeous South Shore and
   get way out of your everyday. We have a fully-equipped edit suite,
   synchronous fiber internet, and accommodation for 2-3. Director and editor
   working remotely? Meet here for an intensive and hit that deadline or get the
   energy up when you need it. Or bring your fine cut for Joe to polish, color,
   and master. Let the sound of the waves and sea breeze restore your creativity
   at the crucial moment to get your project across the finish line. Please drop
