PEOPLE WITH HOPE THRIVE.

HopePHL inspires families, youth and children to thrive. Thanks to the support
of our donors, our impact in 2024 included:

• Providing safe housing for over 400 individuals.
• Connecting over 1,000 school-age children experiencing homelessness with
resources to support their educational goals.
• Prevented 55 evictions and provided over $230,000 in emergency rental
assistance.

But this isn’t just data. These are life-changing outcomes for real people, like
Maria and James (names changed for privacy).
Maria was a college student with a promising future, but when she became
pregnant, her family forced her to move out. She had to drop out of school and
enter a shelter for pregnant and new mothers.

There, Maria connected with HopePHL’s Parents as Teachers program. With our
trauma-informed specialists by her side, she gained crucial parenting and coping
skills, secured income-adjusted housing, and found stability. This fall, Maria
re-enrolled in college to pursue a criminal justice degree and is now on track
for a brighter future.

James, a high school student, was kicked out of his home. He did not have other
family or friends to stay with. At school James connected to HopePHL’s Thrive
team for support.

Thrive referred him to HopePHL’s YES shelter, which provided safe housing for
the student, while Thrive provided money for clothing and school supplies, and
he was able to keep up with school. YES staff connected his parents to resources
as well. After a few weeks, James was able to return home to a diffused and
stable situation with his parents.
