ARSENAL DRIVE THROUGH MG MOTORS UK SPONSORSHIP

MG Motors UK becomes the club’s official automotive partner and will support the
men’s and women’s teams.

English soccer’s Arsenal FC have announced a new multi-year sponsorship deal
with vehicle brand MG Motor UK (MG).

Under the deal, MG becomes the club’s official automotive partner and will
support Arsenal’s men’s and women’s teams, gaining brand presence at home venues
Emirates Stadium and Meadow Park, respectively.

As part of the partnership, MG and Arsenal will also work together to create
engaging content to engage the club’s global supporter base.

Guy Pigounakis, commercial director at MG Motor UK, said: “Joining Arsenal in
our centenary year marks a significant chapter in MG’s story.

“We’re not just supporting a world-famous club, but aiming to drive forward the
future of football by championing the growth of the women’s professional game
and showing our passion for the greatest game on earth.”

MG Motors has previously sponsored soccer’s Copa Sudamericana, the secondary
pan-continental clubs competition in South America, as well as French soccer
club Olympique Lyonnais.

The new deal adds to a long list of partnerships Arsenal have recently agreed,
including Chinese firm ZC Rubber, with the most prominent being the extension of
its long-running shirt sponsorship deal with Dubai-based airline Emirates.

That renewed agreement is believed to be worth around £50 million ($64 million)
per season, an increase on the previous £40-million per-year contract which was
claimed to be the largest sponsorship deal in the Premier League club's history.

The partnership between the two parties is the longest-running front-of-shirt
sponsorship in Premier League history. With the club’s deal with the carrier
beginning in July 2006, the collaboration will reach a minimum of 22 years.

The MG deal also comes on the back of the club announcing  Richard Garlick will
step up to the position of managing director ahead of the 2024-25 season.

Garlick, 47, who has been the London club’s director of football operations
since May 2021, will move into his new role when current Arsenal managing
director Vinai Venkatesham leaves at the end of the ongoing 2023-24 season.

Arsenal currently sit third in the 2023-24 Premier League table and have also
reached the knockout stages of the prestigious pan-Europa UEFA Champions League.

Yesterday (January 25), they were ranked 10th in the Deloitte Money Football
League table for 2022-23, in terms of revenue generated ($920.6
million). However, five other Premier League sides - Manchester City, Manchester
United, Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur, and Chelsea - finished above them.
