PDF has become the format commonly used for reading, creating, and sending text
documents. In turn, there has been a rise in the number of programs used for
this kind of documents. PDF-XChange Viewer is among the growing number of PDF
viewers. This productivity app offers all the usual functions you may need to
open and read your PDF files. It is also an excellent tool for converting
non-text-searchable PDF documents to text-searchable ones that's why it has
become popular among on the list of Softonic PDF tools online, 


EASY-TO-USE AND CUSTOMIZABLE INTERFACE

PDF-XChange Viewer works just like any other PDF reader. Here, users can open
PDF files saved on their computers or download them directly with the app. Once
opened, navigating through the document is straightforward. The interface is
simple, but provides a lot of versatility. More than that, it uses the
now-popular tabbed look, which allows you to open multiple PDF files in the same
window. With this, you can browse through your files the same way you do on your
web browser.



The app displays all the tools you may need on top of the screen. This means
that you will have sufficient space for the document. It also allows you to
customize the default layout to minimize clutter. There is a drop-down menu
where you can choose the tools you want to display in the toolbar. With this,
you can remove the features that you do not always use.

Navigating the document, meanwhile, is also easy. Aside from the default
display, there are multiple options available for how you want to display the
pages on the screen. Additionally, you can also decide how many pages you want
to see on the screen at a time. This is convenient, especially for comparing
multiple pages simultaneously.


DECENT SELECTION OF TOOLS

As mentioned, PDF-XChange Viewer offers all the tools you would expect from a
PDF viewer, including zoom tools, measuring features, and link functions.
Commenting and markup are also supported and are even easy to insert.
Additionally, the app allows you to email your document directly from its
window, provided that you have a compatible program installed on your computer.

Another feature worth noting is the search box at the top of the screen. This
tool provides quick access to various online sources, including Wikipedia, Bing,
Google, and Yahoo. With this, you can search for additional information without
leaving the app's window. The program further extends its capabilities by
allowing its users to export their PDF documents to an image. Using this
feature, you can save your file as a BMP, JPEG, TGA, GIF, and TIFF file.

Although you cannot create documents from scratch, the program does come with a
few PDF editing tools. As noted, you can comment and markup any part of the
page. You can also underline and stamp text for highlighting. Moreover, you can
attach files and create text boxes and even modify them with a single click.
However, you cannot add or remove pages from your file.  

Finally, the app also includes cool features, such as a snapshot tool, document
preview when opening a file, and a wide range of interface language options.
Beginners will also be happy to know that there are tooltips available. With
this, you will know what you are doing before you click. This is actually a
welcome addition since the app's help feature is not very good.

In conclusion, PDF-XChange Viewer is one of the best choices if you are looking
for an alternative to Adobe's PDF reader. It handles your PDF documents well and
even provides a wide range of helpful tools. There is a limitation to its free
version, but it is sufficient for basic tasks.
