Our History
60 years of pump experience

Kinder-Janes Engineers Limited is based in St. Albans and supplies pumps,
compressors and process equipmement with particular expertise in the
petrochemical industry. The Company was formed in 1957 by Mr. George Kinder and
Mr. Peter Janes, both engineers and was initially based in Woking. Over the next
eight years the Company had three bases before establishing premises in
Tabernacle Street, London in 1965.

The Company then remained in Tabernacle Street until moving to its present
location in St. Albans in 1988. George Kinder retired in 1985, but Peter Janes
remained as Chairman and fully involved in the business in until passing away in
2015. The first appointed member of staff, Mrs. Jennifer Janes, became Managing
Director in 1992 and subsequently became Company Chairman. Jenny stepped down in
2021 and our current Managing Director and Chairman is Mr. Andy Omasta who has
worked in the Company for over 35 years.

The total number of employees has remained constant at around 20 people, which
includes the Directors and many have been with the company for the majority of
their careers

As the appointed, official partners for our Manufacturers, we handle all sales
and after-sales activities for their product ranges in the UK.  We add value
through our skills in providing technical advice, quotations, sales contracts
handling and complete after-sales service, including the supply of spare parts,
servicing and repairs, both on-site and in our manufacturer accredited workshop.

With over 50 years experience and an established range of range of world leading
products, we can offer particular expertise in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, General
Industrial Process, Power, Pharmaceutical & Biotech applications.

With our range of specialist world leading pump manufacturers we can also
provide a complete single source supply for all pump types

fluid handling equipment manufacturers who are also ISO 9001 certified

Safe Contractor

Providing installation and commissioning support for our products is integral to
our customer care. We have trained technical product specialists for all of the
equipment we supply, including "Petans" certified engineers for offshore
installations and we are accredited to the SafeContractor scheme.  For a copy of

Our Team
Our Staff

Whilst we have grown significantly since our formation, our staffing has
remained constant at around 20 employees, with many having been with the Company
for the greater part of their careers.

Dedicated customer support – no passing from department to department! Our
experienced engineers specialize in particular product ranges and will follow
your job through from enquiry to quotation, to order and contract handling and
any subsequent site technical support.

Due to the low staff turnover and their specialist product knowledge you can be
sure of experienced long term support for your equipment.

Distributors for the complete range of HMD and Ansimag pumps.  In addition to
new pumps, we are also able to provide full spare parts, after-sales and
technical support for these world leading zero leakage sealless magnetic drive
pumps.
