INSTRUCTORS

BRANDON AYALA

Brandon Ayala is a talented dancer from Hillsboro, Oregon. He started dancing at
the age of 10 and has since competed in multiple competitions. He made history
as the youngest judge in the World Latin Dance Cup at the age of 18. He has also
won the La Negra dance competition at 17 years old and has traveled the world to
perform alongside his brother Benny and dance partner Michelle Morales.

Brandon is also an instructor at Lines Dance Academy, where he has helped create
world champions and has become a sought-after choreographer for high-level
dancers. He was trained by his parents and then by Omar Munoz, the director of
Omambo Dance Company and a world champion. At the age of 15, he became a mentee
of Adolfo Indacochea, and now he is a mentor himself to many students who are
competing around the world.

Recently, Brandon and his team won the Mens Team division at the Euroson World
Salsa Competition in 2022. With a wealth of experience and achievements, Brandon
has established himself as a prominent figure in the dance world.

ANITA AYALA

Hello everyone! I’m Anita, the director, and owner of Lines Dance Academy. I’m
not just a passionate dancer, but also a proud mom, wife, and friend.

Dance has been a big part of my life for as long as I can remember, and I’ve
been lucky enough to share my love for it with others for over 30 years.

With over 20 years of experience in salsa, I have a true appreciation for the
art form and all that it has to offer. I believe in the power of dance to bring
people together, lift people up, and inspire them to be their best selves. Latin
dance is a fun and energetic style that is sure to get your heart racing, and
I’m confident that you’ll love it just as much as I do. Whether you’re a
seasoned dancer or just looking to try something new, I invite you to join us
and experience the thrill of Latin dance for yourself.

At Lines Dance Academy, I strive to create a supportive and encouraging
environment where everyone feels welcome. I want everyone who comes through our
doors to feel like they’re part of a community, whether they’re here to dance,
make new friends, or just have a good time.

With my guidance and the support of our amazing team, I’m confident that you’ll

BRYANT AYALA

Bryant Ayala was raised in the vibrant city of Hillsboro, Oregon, where Latin
music and dance played a central role in his upbringing. His parents owned the
renowned Lines Dance Academy, where he took his first dance steps and developed
a burning passion for salsa and bachata.

Driven by this newfound fire, Bryant set out on a journey to hone his skills,
traveling the world to train under the best dance teachers and perfect his style
of Latin dance. From Italy to Colombia, Spain to Mexico, Bryant sought out the
most renowned instructors to bring their knowledge back to Hillsboro.

After years of dedicated training and hard work, Bryant began competing as a
salsa soloist in some of the biggest dance competitions in the world, including
Euroson Mexico, Las Vegas Salsa Congress, and the World Latin Dance Cup Miami.
His relentless effort and talent earned him the title of 3-time world champion.

Today, Bryant is a teacher and Co-Director of Lines Dance Academy, where he
shares his passion and expertise with students, directing dance teams for
competitions and spectacular showcases.

Whether you’re an aspiring dancer or simply looking to learn some new moves,
Bryant is the perfect guide for a journey through the electrifying world of
Latin dance.

ANTHONY SALAMO

Hailing from the vibrant landscapes of New Jersey and New York City, Anthony
brings over a decade of experience to the stage of international dance.

Anthony’s journey in dance has been shaped under the guidance of the renowned
Marcus Nieves, a certified Eddie Torres dancer. With a passion for Latin dance,
Anthony has honed his skills through training with Adolfo Indacochea and proudly
showcased his talents as a member of the dynamic Latin Souls.

In 2019, Anthony achieved a significant milestone by competing and emerging
victorious in the men’s teams shines category at the Summit World Championships.
His story is woven with a rich tapestry of cultural influences and a relentless
pursuit of excellence in the world of dance.

YANA MKRTCHYAN

Yana began her dance journey in Utah but moved to Mexico City in 2018 to pursue
her passion. She underwent extensive training with Victor Burgos, a highly
respected teacher, and was a member of his salsa team. Under his mentorship,
Yana gained invaluable experience that prepared her for success.

Later, Yana joined the renowned Bachata Team known for their innovative
choreography and dynamic performances. With the team, she achieved multiple
victories in international competitions, such as Euroson Latino and Fusion Salsa
Fest. 

Yana has recently relocated to Oregon and has become a member of the Lines Dance
Academy family. She is continuing her training in Salsa and Bachata to further
improve her skills.
