SLIDE3 HAWK Hawk is a proud vegan with a soft spot for beautiful bouquets, botanical gardens, and furry animals. What triggers Hawk’s asthma: cats | strong smells | pollen Fun fact: Hawk is the front man of a feline-themed punk band. And before you ask, yes, that is a genre. Hawk is not an actual patient. SLIDE4 MEL Mel grew up on a farm in Northeast Texas and was fourth runner-up in the state pageant, bringing down the house with her woodchopping talent. After meeting the love of her life at college, Mel moved to the suburbs and started a family. Mel is not an actual patient. SLIDE5 KAI Originally from the Samoan island of Upolu, Kai never would have imagined leaving the tropics for a city with an honest-to-goodness winter. And never in a million years could he picture himself falling in love with ice sculpting. But he did, and he has. And he’s loving every minute of it. What triggers Kai’s asthma: cold air | respiratory viruses Fun fact: Stoked to be putting his latest project on display—an ice sculpture for the grand opening of his pal’s shaved ice stand.
