can this be achieved in practice? The first advanced training course to impart
interdisciplinary knowledge in the areas of cyber security, behavioural
psychology, adult education and communication will start in January 2025. The
CAS Cyber Risk Awareness at the ZHAW puts people at the centre of security - and
there are good reasons for this.

Swiss Security Awareness Day 2024

The human factor of security is getting more and more important. In times of a
constant increase of complexity in our digitalised world, the user becomes the
target of cybercriminals. Technical measures are not enough to keep our systems
secure, the user needs to become part of the security process. Security
Awareness is supposed to help, but the challenges are great and many – missing
communication expertise, support and resources are just a few. The Swiss
Security Awareness Day aims at giving some insights into the different possible
ways to deal with Security Awareness while pointing out where to get support and
what is most crucial for being successful.

In this two-day course you will learn to identify human risk in your
organisation and how to tackle it. With the help of numerous case studies and
the guidance of the lecturers, you will learn how to plan, initiate and run a
security awareness programme to change behaviour in the long term. You will
practice how to communicate the importance of managing human risk effectively to
relevant stakeholders and how to form alliances to get support across your
organisation. Earn CPE 3.75 credits per day.
